Mission: Revenge – The Heiress's Second Life novel Chapter 95

Lillian opened her mouth in stunned silence.

She thought she had been so discreet when she spiked the water. She never expected this bitch to know she had only used half the packet...

"Furthermore," Clara continued, "my stepmother prepared this purple dress. What does it have to do with me?"

Lillian wasn't stupid.

She whipped her head around and violently shoved Serena away.

Pointing right at Serena's nose, she screamed, "You lied to me! Serena, you actually lied to me! You wanted to set Clara up, so what did that have to do with me? I can't believe you did this, I..."

That powder wasn't a harmless laxative; it was a strong sedative.

There was nothing wrong with the dress's straps; it was laced with a dirty drug.

Lillian figured it all out.

She had been used as a pawn by this mother-daughter duo, and in the end, she was the one who fell into the trap.

"Lillian!" Vera snapped coldly. "You've been drugged, and your mental state is unstable. I'll have someone take you to the hospital!"

She shot a look at two security guards behind her. They stepped forward, grabbed Lillian, and dragged her away.

"What the hell is going on here?" Jonathan walked in with a dark expression, having just seen off the VIPs. "Vera, you owe me an explanation today!"

Vera's lips trembled, unable to find the right words for a moment.

She had orchestrated everything flawlessly and never imagined it would end up like this... In such a short span of time, she couldn't conjure a logical excuse to smooth things over.

"Dad, it's all my fault..." Serena whimpered weakly. "I introduced my cousin to Lillian last time, and I never thought they would start dating behind my back... I definitely didn't expect them to do something like this at Clara's welcome banquet. It's all my fault. Please punish me, Dad..."
