“Ms. Conlay, I’ll go with you,” Pearl said right away.

“No.” I shook my head. “I’ll go alone. I’ll move faster that way. You go back to Silvermoon Pack. Get thing ready. But don’t tell Faulkner or the others yet.”

Before shifting into my wolf form, I looked back at Pearl.

She stood under the tree. There were tears in her eyes. And there was hope too–careful, hidden hope.
