After leaving the Silvermoon Pack, Samuel immediately shifted into his wolf form and ran straight back to the Frostwind Pack.

Luke was already waiting for him in the study. When Samuel walked in, he quickly handed over the letter.

Samuel opened it, and Greer’s familiar handwriting came into view.

Dear Samuel,

According to ancient records, breaking a bloodline curse planted by one’s biological parents requires preparing an ancient potion. The recipe is insanely complex, and parts of it are missing. But I’ll start by gathering the herbs we do know.

Right now, I need to find Frostmoon Moss. It only grows deep inside the Wolf Grave in the Far Northern Ice Fields. I have already set out, but I will return before the winter solstice. Don’t worry, I won’t miss your mating ceremony.

However, I must warn you.

The curse in your body has existed since you were seven years old. It gave you that strange power and has already fused with your flesh, your bones, and your wolf spirit.

If the curse is removed, your body will definitely be affected.

Perhaps you will lose the combat instincts you were born with.

Perhaps your wolf form will weaken, and you will never be able to fight the way you do now.

In worse case scenario, your bloodline might backlash, and your wolf spirit will be damaged. At best, you will lose all your strength. At worstyou will die.

Before we complete the potion, you should think about it carefully.

Are you truly ready to remove it? Just for a shewolf who does not love you?

From Greer

Samuel held the letter tightly, his knuckles turning pale.

He lifted his head and looked toward the direction of the Silvermoon Pack.

He had already thought it through.

He had to break the curse.

No matter what the price was.

And he believed the Moon Goddess would not be so cruel to him.

He would live and remain by Laila’s side.

As for those powers that never truly belonged to him, if giving them up could allow him to share love with Laila, he would gladly trade them away.

The next day.

Silvermoon Pack.

Raymond had woken up. His leg still hurt, but it was not nearly as painful as it had been yesterday.

Even while still enduring the pain, he forced a smile to reassure Laila, Samson, and the others who had come to visit him.

The smile looked strained, and his stubborn determination made it painful to watch.

What surprised Raymond even more was something else. The drug addiction that had once driven him to slam his head against the wall had not returned even once.

Even adult werewolves needed more than six months of repeated suffering to break free from that kind of poison. Yet he, a sevenyearold child, had endured it on his own and had not relapsed a single time.

There truly were no weak ones among the Conlays.

While Raymond recovered from his injury, Laila did not go anywhere. Every day she stayed beside his bed, reading books, handling Pack affairs, and occasionally lifting her head to check on him.

Many people came to visit, but she had Faulkner turn most of them away.

Except for her cousin, Lillian Whitmore, and Lillian’s mate, Shawn Foster.

Shawn was only 24 years old, but his temper was enormous.

The moment he entered Silvermoon Pack, he began pointing things out everywhere. One moment he complained that the color of the tapestry in the reception hall did not match properly. The next moment he criticized the servants for how they served tea. The tone of his voice made it sound as if he had come to inspect his own territory rather than visit as a guest.
