After arriving at Morgana’s courtyard, Laila heard that Morgana had thrown a huge tantrum and had smashed countless things.
She didn’t go in immediately. Instead, she found Luke first and asked about the situation and what was happening at Cloria.
Luke reassured her, “The manager is being held. I’ve also stationed people at Cloria’s so no one will be able to slip out and warn anyone.”
Then, he hesitated before adding, “Ms. Conlay, I probably shouldn’t be the one saying this, but I can’t hold it in anymore.” He paused, then continued, “The Alpha treats you very well. I hope you won’t let him down. If you don’t have feelings for him, you should make it clear sooner rather than later. Don’t play with his emotions.”

Morgana’s hair was disheveled, her face pale with fury. The moment she saw Laila, all her frustration and humiliation surged at once. “They lied to me!” She burst into tears.
Laila paused, then said calmly, “Everyone except the butlers, leave. Gracie, you too.”
There were several butlers in the Frostwind Pack, along with a head steward. Now, all of them had been handling the accounts.
None of them had ever seen Princess Morgana this furious.
At Laila’s command, the others quickly left,
Laila walked over and gently wiped Morgana’s tears. “Have you finished reviewing the accounts?”
“Not yet… This year’s still incomplete…” Morgana sniffled. For some reason, the moment she saw Laila, her heart settled, though
