Laila said, “You’re Prince Vance’s most treasured sister. They cheated you out of your money, so of course I helped you take it back. Isn’t that what anyone should do?”

Morgana looked at her calm and distant expression and recalled what happened while they checked the accounts in Frostfang Pack. She had been freezing, and Laila had shifted into her wolf form and curled around her. It had been a natural reaction.

A sense of warmth rose inside Morgana. “I’ll remember what you did for me.”

As she spoke, she secretly glanced at Samuel. Still, if there was a man worth competing for, she would fight for him.

She just did not know if she could win against Laila.

Laila was an Alpha she–wolf. She could fight on the battlefield. She was also beautiful. But what about herself? She could not do anything. She always ended up being deceived…

The thore Morgana thought about it, the more upset she became. And when she saw Samuel’s gaze remain fixed on Laila the entire time, it hurt even more.

She no longer cared about dividing the money. “Fine. I’m a little tired too. I’ll go rest first.”

And today he even looked strangely cheerful. She noticed it the moment they left Frostfang Pack. The corners of his lips had been lifted the whole time.

The group walked into Frostwind Pack together.

Luke even thoughtfully prepared hot soup, one bowl for each of them.

When he handed one to Laila, she raised an eyebrow. “There’s one for me too?”

Luke nodded. The tips of his ears were turning red. He then went to deliver a bowl to Morgana.

Laila was truly taken aback.

She could not help but look at Samuel, questioning him with her eyes, but he only smiled without explaining.

He said, “I really did not expect Morgana to be tricked out of that much money by Estelle. If not for you, she might have been fooled forever.
