Then Dominic let him go and said in a serious, fatherly tone. “It’s good that you know you were wrong. Shawn, you are our only son, and the alpha heir I’ve chosen. You can’t act so recklessly.”

He patted Shawn on the shoulder. “Now go apologize to Lillian. She loves you so much, she will definitely forgive you. Then ask her go plead with Laila and Samuel, and try to get King Vaughn to cancel your punishment.”

Shawn said nothing. He only nodded silently, his face dark and unreadable.

Then he turned and left. Dominic let out a breath of relief and said to Evelyn, “This kid needs a good beating to behave.”

Evelyn forced a smile, but she still felt uneasy inside.

She knew Shawn’s personality well, and something about his reaction felt off.

After leaving Dominic’s yard, Shawn immediately shifted into wolf form and rushed toward Lillian’s place.

He charged all the way there, knocking things over without caring at all.

The servants screamed in panic.

Lillian had already gone to sleep, but half–awake, she heard a loud noise outside.

She could tell it was Shawn arguing with Rockie, and she frowned slightly. What is he doing here?

“Scarlett, what’s going on outside?”

She called out. Scarlett quickly came over. “Ms. Whitmore, you’re awake?” she said, then explained, “Mr. Foster came storming over. Rockie and Bex are trying to stop him.”

Lillian said, “Help me sit up. Let him in. Let’s see what he wants to do.”

“Ms. Whitmore, you still want to let him in?” Scarlett frowned. She remembered how he had shoved Lillian into the table before. It made her both angry and worried.

Lillian said calmly, “It’s fine. Have Rockie and Bex stand by. He can’t touch me.”

She was already done with him. Whatever he had to say, she wanted to hear it face–to–face and make things clear.

Ever since her mother said she couldn’t break the mate bond, she had been completely drained. She slept all day, and when she woke up, she just stared into space.

Shawn stepped forward, but Rockie immediately blocked him. Shawn shot Rockie a cold glare and continued, “I’ve apologized now. But you also made Tiffany eat wolfsbane that day. You should apologize to her too. Get up. Come with me and apologize to her.”

Lillian’s eyes turned red, but she suddenly laughed. “You want me to apologize to her?”

Shawn stared at her coldly. “You did something wrong. Why shouldn’t you apologize?”

He tried to push past Rockie and grab Lillian, but Rockie slapped his hand away sharply. “Talk with your mouth. Don’t you dare touch her.”

Shawn got hit. He knew he couldn’t beat Rockie. Last time, she had already broken his arm.
