Caleb knew exactly why Samuel had gone to Simonne Town. He hadn’t gone there for negotiations–he’d gone there to rescue people.

On the surface, Blake’s letter looked like a simple report, but in truth, it was a complaint in disguise/ Vaughn had always been wary of Samuel. Things were fine while their relationship remained harmonious. But if tensions ever arose between them in the future, Vaughn might look back on this matter and conclude that Samuel hadn’t trusted

Caleb’s throat tightened with emotion as well. “Yes, Your Majesty. Thanks to your order to send Prince Vance to rescue them, they were able to return safely.”

After meeting with Vaughn, Caleb personally went to notify the families.

The first stop was the Quinns. Jeff and Matt from the Cottontail were both sons of the Quinns.

The moment Patrick Quinn heard the news, his first reaction was disbelief.
