Yvaine was never a fan of eating out. Aside from everything else, hygiene was a major concern for her.

Before, everything had just been too rushed for her to properly organize her routine.

But after eating breakfast out with Silas two days in a row, she had had enough.

Her family's private chef prepared meals that tasted infinitely better than any restaurant, and more importantly, the food was meticulously clean and healthy.

Noticing Silas looking at the unfamiliar man in their kitchen, Yvaine turned to him.

"I had him transferred from my family's estate. From now on, he'll be taking care of all our meals," she explained.

She watched Silas's reaction closely.

After all, this was his apartment. If he was uncomfortable having a stranger here, she would dismiss the chef and figure out another arrangement.

Silas simply nodded.

For breakfast, the chef had prepared a beautiful spread of Docksy’s specialty morning dishes.

There were delicate rice noodle rolls, perfectly steamed shrimp dumplings, savory spare ribs, and rich, comforting breakfast bowls.

It was exactly what Yvaine had requested.

Silas glanced at her, then calmly pulled out his chair and sat down.

"Would you like a hot beverage to go with it?" Yvaine asked with a polite smile.

Down in Docksy and Galwin City, people loved to enjoy a hot drink with their morning meal.

Though she didn't entirely share the preference, she respected it.

Silas shook his head. "I'm good, thanks."

Yvaine nodded.

The two quietly enjoyed their breakfast.

Yvaine wasn't a picky eater at all and happily sampled everything. Once they were finished, they headed off to their respective offices.

Yvaine stepped into the company lobby. Her secretary was already waiting and quickly fell into step beside her.

She ran through the morning briefing.

As she wrapped up, her secretary added, "Ms. Sterling, representatives from the Lowell Group will be here at 10 AM to discuss Project X."

Yvaine's brow furrowed.

Project X was a massive joint venture between the Lowell Group and the Sterling family. However, the project was already well into its mid-to-late stages.

There shouldn't be anything major left to negotiate.

"Understood," Yvaine said.
