Yvaine raised an eyebrow.
Since when did Zachary enjoy being hand-fed so much?
Last time, he made Xylia feed him a drink.
This time, an apple.
What was he going to make her feed him next?
Had his arms suddenly stopped working?
"There really is nothing going on between Mr. Lowell and that woman," Sarah insisted.
When a man and a woman have slept together, the atmosphere between them changes.
Looking at the vibe between Zachary and Xylia, it was glaringly obvious that there was no intimacy between them.
Yvaine just looked at Sarah.
"Mr. Lowell only called her there to make you jealous," Sarah added.
Yvaine smiled. "I know. You can go now."
It seemed her boss had no desire to discuss this further.
Sarah gave a respectful nod and stepped out.
——
At eleven in the morning, Zachary arrived at Sterling Group with Mona and the head of Project X.
Yvaine, alongside Sarah and her own project lead, received them in the conference room.
Zachary looked at Yvaine, though he didn't say much.
Yvaine and her team were in constant dialogue with the Lowell representatives, occasionally pausing to ask for Zachary's input.
Zachary would chime in occasionally just to nitpick minor details.
His attitude couldn't exactly be called pleasant.
But this was miles better than what Yvaine had anticipated.
She thought he was going to shoot down their proposal entirely and intentionally make their lives miserable, just like last time.
Finally, noon rolled around.
It was time for a lunch break.
Yvaine smiled gracefully. "Mr. Lowell, it's lunchtime. Let's get a meal together."
It was basic courtesy.
When a client was at your company during meal hours, taking them out to eat was business etiquette 101.
"Sure," Zachary replied.
