Zachary snarled, pulling his arm back for another punch.

Silas dodged effortlessly.

Yvaine just turned and walked away.

Fine, let them fight.

She was realizing that all men were inherently violent. They all preferred to solve their problems with their fists.

It didn't matter how prestigious their background was or how sophisticated they looked on the surface.

Deep down, they were all exactly the same.

She couldn't be bothered anymore.

The more she worried and tried to intervene, the harder they would probably fight. They clearly wanted to put on a show for her, to prove through brute force who was the better, stronger man.

With that massive crowd watching, there was no way they'd actually beat each other to death. At worst, they'd sustain some minor injuries.

As long as no one died, it didn't matter.

After slipping past another wild swing, Silas noticed Yvaine retreating. He immediately abandoned the fight to follow her.

His face thunderous, Zachary jogged after them. Once they were outside the restaurant, Yvaine glanced down the block and noticed a private clinic just steps away.

She turned back to Silas.

His cuts and bruises still needed medical attention.

"Baby."

He had quite literally fought a war for her. Wasn't she touched?

Instead of answering, Yvaine simply gestured toward the clinic and started walking.

Silas obediently followed.

Emerging from the restaurant behind them, Zachary's face twisted sourly as he watched them. Even so, he shadowed them all the way to the clinic.

The small army of secretaries and project managers trailed closely behind the trio.

The lunch hour was typically dead quiet for a small clinic, so when a massive crowd suddenly swarmed the lobby, it caused quite a scene.

The doctor and the duty nurses were startled.

Had there been some kind of major accident?

Upon closer inspection, however, they were thoroughly stunned.

Was everyone this wildly attractive these days?

The first man and woman to enter were absurdly gorgeous, perfectly matched like royalty stepping off a movie set.
