Was she hoping Zachary died?
Or him?
"Yep," Yvaine nodded calmly. "I am absolutely toxic. Haven't you ever heard the saying?"
Zachary scowled. "What saying?"
Yvaine replied evenly, "Hell hath no fury like a woman."
Zachary was speechless.
Silas was speechless.
Well, that was one Silas definitely hadn't heard before.
They didn't really have that expression back in Docksy.
He was certainly learning it now, though.
Zachary ground his teeth, glaring at Silas. "She's been corrupted by you!"
Before she got married, she was never this vicious.
Before she married this bastard, she had been so sweet. If he had gotten even a paper cut, she would have worried over him endlessly.
But now?
He was battered, bleeding, and in agony, yet Yvaine didn't care in the slightest. She had even encouraged Silas to hit him harder, basically wishing death upon him.
Silas was a villain, and he had completely dragged her down to his level.
Silas frowned, looking at Zachary with deep disapproval.
"When she was with you, she was slumming it. Now that she's with me, she's ascending."
Zachary's jaw tightened. "You have a death wish."
Silas didn't dignify that with a response; he merely let out a cold, condescending scoff. "Ha..."
The sound was packed with maximum arrogance and disdain.
The vein in Zachary's temple throbbed violently. He glared dagger holes at his opponent. "Silas, you haven't had enough, have you?"
"Are you delusional enough to think you were winning?" Silas challenged smoothly.
Zachary snapped. He raised his fist to charge again.
This time, it was Yvaine's turn for her temples to throb.
"Take your time," she announced over her shoulder. "I'm leaving."
"Make sure whoever survives shoots me a text."
With that, she spun on her heel and walked off.
Sarah immediately scurried after her.
The Sterling Group executives followed suit.
