My Husband's Betrayal My Brothers' Revenge (Rebekah) novel Chapter 218

After Sampson left, Jensen turned to Rebekah. "Are you okay?"

Rebekah shook her head. "Thank you."

Jensen frowned, about to speak, but she playfully waved a hand. "I know, I know. Every ‘thank you' is noted. I'll pay you back someday." She released his hand and went to sit on the sofa, opening a sealed bottle of water from the table and taking a sip.

Seeing that she was back to her usual self, Jensen felt a wave of relief. He followed her and sat down beside her.

"I'm curious, what could I possibly do to repay you?" Rebekah asked. "It doesn't seem like you need help with anything." When she thought about it, Jensen had money, plenty of friends, and a fulfilling life. There didn't seem to be much she could offer him.

At her words, a possessive glint flickered in Jensen's eyes, but he kept it hidden. "Who knows what the future holds? Just let the debt accumulate for now."

"Fair enough," Rebekah agreed easily. Having a friend like Jensen was, for her, an incredible stroke of luck.

A faint smile touched Jensen's lips. His almond-shaped eyes crinkled slightly, the emotions swirling within them growing deeper. Sooner or later, he would collect on all the affection she owed him.

A week passed with Rebekah recovering in the hospital. Soon, it was the anniversary of Old Mrs. Fletcher's death.

"Tomorrow is Grandma's anniversary. I have to go back," Rebekah said as she packed her things. She looked at Jensen. "I'll be heading back to Southborough tomorrow night. Let me take you out to dinner tonight."

"So, you've met your brothers?"

Rebekah nodded, then paused as if considering something. She leaned in and whispered conspiratorially, "I'll let you in on a secret. I'm actually part of the Powell family."

"The Powell family?" Jensen raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise.

Rebekah nodded again. "I never would have guessed it myself. My real family is the wealthiest family in Southborough, the Powells. When Blaze first contacted me, he said my parents had passed away, and it was just the four of them. I assumed we were just an ordinary family, but it turns out we're incredibly rich."

It had taken Rebekah several days to process this reality. In her recent conversations with her brothers, she finally felt more relaxed about it.
