My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 152

The surrounding socialites began whispering amongst themselves, their gazes darting between Melody and Harmony. Some covered their mouths to hide their laughter, while others secretly snapped photos with their phones.

Harmony's face flushed a deep crimson, making her wish the floor would swallow her whole.

Melody didn't look much better. She tried her hardest to maintain a smile, but it looked more like a grimace.

She never expected the necklace to be a fake, let alone that she had been completely oblivious to it.

Instead, an abandoned daughter had accurately called out their counterfeit jewelry in front of everyone.

Tiffany revelled in the moment, unable to resist adding salt to the wound. "Oh my, I didn't know foreign boutiques sold knockoffs now! Or maybe that boutique wasn't even a real store to begin with?"

Harmony's face burned. She pointed a trembling finger at Seraphina, opening her mouth to speak, but no words came out.

A few low chuckles echoed from the bystanders.

Unable to take the humiliation any longer, Melody grabbed Harmony and dragged her away.

Seraphina remained standing there, gently resting a hand over her abdomen. Little Bean boasted proudly, "Mom, wasn't I amazing?"

Seraphina silently replied in her mind, "You were amazing. I'll treat you to something delicious when we get back."

Melody and Harmony stormed off to a secluded corner.

Melody completely dropped her polite facade, gritting her teeth. "Harmony, what on earth is going on? I have never been humiliated like this in my entire life, and today I got upstaged by a country bumpkin!"

Harmony felt incredibly wronged. "I don't know either! Let me ask my mom if she got scammed."

She pulled out her phone and called Penelope. It rang twice before it was answered.

Penelope's voice carried a hint of cheerfulness. "Harmony, is the gala over already? That can't be right, it's still so early."
