My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 238

Seraphina sat down and took a sip of her milk. "No need. Let's just eat at home."

She wasn't particularly fond of dining out at restaurants; it never felt as comfortable as being at home.

Plus, being so heavily pregnant, she had zero desire to deal with crowded public spaces.

Susan nodded and happily went about her duties.

After breakfast, Seraphina took a stroll in the garden and stopped by the greenhouse to admire the hydrangeas. The gardener had mentioned they were blooming beautifully this year, and sure enough, clusters of vibrant blue-purple flowers were blooming in spectacular bunches.

Just as she leaned over to smell the blossoms, her phone rang.

It was Grandma Eleanor.

"Seraphina, darling, you and Lucian need to come home for dinner this weekend," the old matriarch announced, her voice booming with an enthusiasm that left no room for argument. "It's been ages since I last saw you. You never come to visit this lonely old woman anymore."

Seraphina smiled softly. "Grandma, I'm sorry. I've just been feeling so heavy lately, so I haven't wanted to move around much."

"Oh, my! Well, that just means you need to get up and walk around more! It's good for the delivery," Eleanor immediately fussed, her tone turning anxious.

"But don't exhaust yourself. Just have Lucian drive you over this weekend. I'll have the kitchen prepare some bird's nest soup. You and the baby need your nutrients!"

"Alright, Grandma. We'll come visit this weekend," Seraphina quickly agreed.

It really had been a while since they checked in on the old lady.

In the entire Langford family, Grandma Eleanor was the one who pampered her the most.

Eleanor rambled on with a laundry list of instructions—telling her to walk carefully, banishing high heels, and reminding her to eat well—before finally hanging up.

Little Bean piped up from inside her belly, "Great-Grandma sure talks a lot."

Seraphina didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Great-Grandma just cares about us."

Little Bean let out a thoughtful 'oh,' only half understanding.

The weekend arrived in a flash.

Lucian drove Seraphina to the old Langford manor, keeping the speed nearly twenty miles per hour below his usual pace.
