My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 271

Zelda Gates hesitated, wanting to offer a few more words of comfort, but the look on her daughter's face made her swallow the advice.

Sienna was just as stubborn as her father; the more you pushed, the harder she pushed back.

Better let her cool off. Maybe she would come to her senses in a few days.

"Get some rest, I'll go make you some soup," Zelda said, patting Sienna's hand before stepping out of the room.

Once the door clicked shut, Sienna sat frozen on the bed for a long time.

Finally, she grabbed her phone, pulled up a number, and hit dial without a second thought.

It rang seven or eight times before a lazy voice answered.

"Well, if it isn't Sienna. What do I owe the pleasure?"

"Melody, I need a favor," Sienna croaked, her voice raspy.

"What kind of favor?"

"I know you've been working with Sebastian Sullivan lately," Sienna kept her voice low. "I need some dirt on his company. You must have something, right?"

A heavy silence fell over the line.

"Sienna, what exactly are you trying to pull?" Melody Monroe's tone shifted, laced with sudden caution.

"Nothing," Sienna replied airily. "I just want to see what gives him the audacity to dump me."

Melody was quiet for a few seconds. "Sorry, but I can't help you with that."

"You—"

"Sienna, let me give you a piece of advice. Stop playing with fire." Melody cut her off, her tone dead serious. "Acting like this is only going to push Sebastian further away. If you really want him back, focus on fixing your own life first."

Melody had already heard the rumors about Sebastian and Yolanda Harrison.

In high society, there was no such thing as a secret.

Sienna scoffed inwardly. When did Melody become such a saint?

Back when she was obsessed with Lucian Langford, she didn't exactly shy away from playing dirty.

How could she preach from a high horse now?
