My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 29

Right after, the rest of the staff filed in, carefully arranging an array of stunning velvet jewelry boxes across the coffee table before flipping them open.

Seraphina stared at the boxes, her jaw nearly dropping to the floor.

What on earth was going on?

The staff opened them one by one.

Diamond tennis bracelets, a stunning pearl necklace, diamond drop earrings, luxury cashmere shawls... every single piece was an insanely expensive masterpiece.

Some were even exclusive limited editions that money couldn't buy.

"Mrs. Langford, Mr. Langford hand-selected all of these for you. He also mentioned that if you don't like any of the designs, we can swap them out for a different collection," the staff member explained with total deference.

Seraphina quickly waved her hands in panic. "No, no, that's really not necessary. I love them, I really do."

She stared at the table overflowing with velvet boxes, feeling caught between a laugh and a groan.

This man's way of giving gifts was completely absurd.

"Mommy! Daddy is the absolute best! These are all so gorgeous! Put them on so I can see!" Little Bean cheered enthusiastically.

Seraphina thought to herself: *You're literally the size of a jellybean, what exactly are you going to see?*

"I can see everything!" Little Bean retorted proudly. "I'm right here in your tummy! Whatever you wear, I can feel it! Try them on, try them on!"

Unable to resist the nagging, Seraphina picked up the pearl necklace and fastened it around her neck while looking in the mirror.

The perfectly round pearls gleamed with a soft, iridescent luster under the lights, making the skin along her collarbone look incredibly luminous.

"So pretty!" Little Bean cheered. "Mommy looks like a princess!"

Susan, standing nearby, chimed in with a warm smile. "You have such beautiful skin, Ma'am. Pearls suit you perfectly."

Seraphina looked at her reflection, a soft smile playing on her lips.

She had never been one to dress up much, especially after her mother passed away. The Simmons family essentially ignored her existence, so she had simply grown used to being plain and unnoticeable.

Later, when she was with Sebastian, he had never bothered to buy her any decent jewelry either.

Now, suddenly bombarded with all these extravagant gifts, she actually felt a little out of her depth.

"Susan, could you help me put these away?" Seraphina unclasped the pearl necklace and carefully placed it back into its velvet box.

"Of course!" Susan cheerfully began packing them up. "Ma'am, Sir treats you so incredibly well. I've worked for the Langford family for years, and this is the very first time I've ever seen him put this much heart into something."

Seraphina smiled but didn't reply.
