My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 305

Back in the hospital room, a peaceful silence finally settled in.

Seraphina leaned against her pillows, her lips curving upward as she watched the tiny baby in the bassinet.

This was her Little Bean. He was unbearably cute!

Lucian returned after seeing his family off. "Are you tired?"

"I'm okay," Seraphina whispered. "Just a little sleepy."

"Then close your eyes for a bit." Lucian adjusted her pillows to make her more comfortable. "I'll keep watch over him."

Seraphina looked up at him, a sudden smile breaking across her face.

"Do you even know how?"

Lucian raised an eyebrow. "How hard can it be? If he cries, I'll press the call button for the nurse."

Seraphina burst into laughter, but the movement tugged sharply at her stitches, causing her to gasp in pain.

"Don't laugh," Lucian said, his demeanor shifting to instant panic as he rushed to support her. "Do you want me to call the doctor?"

"No, I'm fine." Seraphina shook her head, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I just think that as a new dad, you're a little unreliable."

Lucian fell silent for a moment before nodding solemnly.

"Fair point. I'll have to learn."

He delivered the statement with the utmost gravity, looking as if he were strategizing the acquisition of a billion-dollar company.

Watching his intense expression, a rush of warmth flooded Seraphina's chest.

She knew that whenever this man made a promise, he followed through.

"I'm going to sleep then," she murmured, her eyelids drooping, her voice fading into a soft whisper. "If he cries, remember to pick him up..."

Before she could finish the sentence, her breathing evened out.

She was completely exhausted.

The grueling hours of labor had drained every ounce of her strength.

Lucian gazed at her peaceful face, reaching out to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

He then stood up and walked over to the bassinet.
