My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 409

The message was from the hacker friend Seraphina had enlisted, and he had already uncovered some crucial information.

"The person who took the photo of you and York Zeller talking outside the manor is Leo Zacharias?" Lucian stared at the message, tapping on the attached photo of the man to examine it closely.

He was absolutely certain he had never seen the man before.

"Yeah. The file says he's a freelance photographer Melody met abroad three years ago. His specialty is candid, high-pressure shots."

Seraphina's lips curved upward into a smile, though the amusement didn't reach her eyes.

"No wonder he managed to find such a bizarre angle to make it look like York and I were having an intimate conversation."

"I honestly wasn't expecting my friend to dig this up. He works insanely fast."

Lucian suddenly stopped reading. He lifted his gaze to look at Seraphina, an intense, dark emotion swirling in his eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Lucian didn't say a word. He simply pulled her into his arms, wrapping her in a tight, possessive embrace.

He rested his chin on her shoulder, his voice dropping into a dangerous rumble. "I had no idea my wife was so closely acquainted with such a capable 'friend.'"

"Ugh..." Little Bean had woken up from his nap and was currently broadcasting a highly unamused sigh straight into Seraphina's mind. "Mommy, Daddy sounds so sour, like he just chugged a gallon of lemon juice."

Seraphina's lips twitched. "Do you even know what lemon juice tastes like?"

"No, but it sounds gross. I don't like sour things, so I refuse to learn."

He let out a massive, exaggerated yawn. "Mommy, you better explain things to Daddy quickly, or he's going to stay awake agonizing over it all night."

Seraphina was still mentally conversing with her son when she suddenly felt a sharp nip on her neck.

Startled back to reality, she looked down and realized Lucian had actually bitten her collarbone!

She shoved him playfully, glaring at him with flushed cheeks. "Lucian, what are you, a puppy?!"

"Were you thinking about him just now?"

"Huh?"

Him? Who?

Seraphina blinked, but as she took in Lucian's smoldering, intensely jealous glare, it finally clicked.
