He could have used company protocol to bully ordinary external hires, but these people were from the championship-bound team of a major new energy competition. Their skills were undeniable.

The Langford Group's project was currently bottlenecked precisely at the control models and chip integration phase. If he dared to claim they weren't qualified, no one in the division would be able to keep their jobs secure.

He set his coffee down and forced a stiff smile. "Of course."

He turned his head. "Liam, move your things back."

Liam's face darkened. "Mr. Marshall, it's really inconvenient for me to be far from the archive section."

Winona shot him a look. "Point out the archive section, and we'll carry your stuff for you."

Liam's mouth twitched. "No need."

Xavier picked up Liam's water bottle and shoved it toward him. "Hold this tight. Try not to spill it. Langford carpets look expensive."

Liam grabbed his files and headphones, storming back to his original seat while holding his breath in frustration.

Winona's eyes scanned the room. "Who else touched Sera's files?"

Dead silence.

Seraphina placed her folder back in the center of her desk. "I'll be filing an official report for the damaged documents."

Seymour's face turned a sickly shade of green. "Seraphina, we're all colleagues here. There's no need to take things this far."

Seraphina glanced up. "Mr. Marshall, you were the one who told me to go through official channels just a moment ago."

Seymour was completely speechless.

Winona pulled out a chair and sat down. "So 'official channels' are great when you want to bully someone, but terrible when it's time to hold someone accountable?"

Zachary had already connected to the intranet. "Open up Group A's workspace."

Seymour stood frozen in place.

Zachary looked up. "Or were you planning on having us use Group B's shared drive?"

Several people in The Innovation & Strategy Division paled.

Someone had clearly messed with the shared drive that morning. Everyone assumed it was just some renamed folders and version history tweaks, but if a real audit happened, no one could guarantee their hands were perfectly clean.

Seymour spoke up quickly, "I'll have the admin unlock it."

Seraphina sat back down in her rightful seat and pulled her laptop closer. "While you're at it, export the operation logs for the shared drive from last night to today. Send a copy to me and Project Management."

The lingering chuckles from earlier vanished completely.

Someone immediately panicked. "Lead Simmons, it was just a file name change. Is this really necessary?"

Seraphina stared at him. "Did you change it?"
