Seraphina turned at the sound of her name and saw Sebastian.
The man was like a lingering ghost.
Why was he here ambushing her again?
"Sera," Sebastian said, his eyes lighting up as he closed the distance between them with long strides. "I've been waiting out here for you."
Sebastian had spent the previous night thinking it over and decided he needed to strike first.
He was convinced that Seraphina had only married Lucian out of spite.
There was no real affection between them.
And with the Simmons family fiercely eyeing those shares, he had to act fast and win Seraphina back.
It didn't even matter to him that she was carrying another man's child; his true target was the equity.
Once he secured the shares, he couldn't care less what happened to her.
He had been waiting outside the gates early in the morning and personally watched Lucian's car drive away.
That was the only reason he dared to show up so brazenly in front of her now.
Sebastian was extremely confident in his calculated scheme.
"Sebastian? What are you doing here?" Seraphina asked, having never met a man quite so shameless.
"Sera, let's talk."
"We have nothing to discuss," she replied coldly, turning on her heel to walk away.
Sebastian reached out to block her path, lowering his voice. "Sera, everything that happened was a misunderstanding. You're the only one in my heart."
"Mommy, don't listen to his nonsense! How can someone be this gross? He won't stop bothering you. If Daddy finds out, he'll definitely teach him a lesson!" Little Bean huffed angrily from her womb.
Seraphina knew Sebastian lacked boundaries, but she had never expected him to stoop to this level of audacity.
The two stood in a tense standoff, the air thick with hostility.
"Sera, just give me five minutes. Once I'm done speaking, I'll leave."
"Speak," Seraphina demanded, her tone as detached as if she were addressing a total stranger. "You have five minutes."
