My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 56

Sienna nodded, a vicious glint flashing in her eyes.

Seraphina Simmons, tonight is the end of you.

...

After the charity auction concluded, the event transitioned into a networking mixer.

Seraphina was pulled into conversation by several socialites, while Lucian was drawn away by business partners.

"Mrs. Langford, your gown is absolutely stunning. Who is the designer?" a socialite in a red dress asked, her tone laced with flattery.

Seraphina smiled politely. "My husband arranged it, so I'm not entirely sure of the brand."

"Mr. Langford is so wonderful to you," another woman noted enviously. "My husband never pays attention to what I wear."

Seraphina merely smiled and didn't elaborate.

Just then, a waitress approached carrying a tray.

The tray held two glasses of juice and several glasses of red wine.

As she neared Seraphina, the waitress seemingly tripped, losing her balance and tipping the tray directly toward Seraphina.

The juice and red wine splashed all over Seraphina's dress.

The crimson liquid bled rapidly across the champagne silk, making for a disastrous sight.

Seeing the mess, Seraphina couldn't help but frown.

She hadn't expected something like this to happen.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" The waitress paled, bowing profusely. "Mrs. Langford, I didn't mean to. Someone pushed me..."

The surrounding women gasped in shock, hastily pulling out tissues to help dab at the dress.

But the wine had already soaked into the fabric; wiping it was useless.

Little Bean stomped his tiny feet in her womb. "Mommy! That waitress totally did that on purpose! No one is that clumsy!"

Something felt off.

It was far too coincidental.

No wonder she had felt a lingering sense of unease today.
