At the Sullivan residence.
Sebastian sat in his study, his phone resting face-up on the desk, the screen still glowing.
Sienna's messages popped up one after another.
He read them all, but didn't type a single word in response.
The scene from the previous night replayed over and over in his mind.
Sienna lying on that hotel bed, clothes torn, with a completely strange man hovering over her.
Even if they hadn't slept together yet, the mere image made him physically sick.
He did have genuine feelings for Sienna at one point, but ever since Seraphina broke off their engagement, his heart had started to waver.
He couldn't even make sense of his own feelings anymore.
He knew exactly what Sienna's goal was: she wanted to become Mrs. Sullivan.
But this time, she had disappointed him far beyond repair.
Regardless of whether she was framed last night, she was still in that room, half-undressed, with another man. That was an indisputable fact.
The upper-class circle was small, and gossip spread faster than wildfire.
He had already received several "sympathetic" calls this morning.
"Sebastian, I'm afraid your fiancée might not be the faithful type."
"How could a prestigious family like the Sullivans marry a girl like that?"
Every single word felt like a knife twisting into his pride.
Sebastian closed his eyes and took a long, deep breath.
Thinking back on their past affection, he finally picked up the phone and typed a brief message: "Take care of yourself. I'm busy right now."
He hit send.
It wasn't forgiveness.
But Sienna was still carrying his child.
He could resent her, but he couldn't just abandon his own flesh and blood.
The moment the message went through, Sienna replied almost instantly: "Sebastian, you finally texted back! You believe me, right? I knew you'd never abandon me!"
Sebastian didn't reply again.
But on the other end, Sienna was absolutely thrilled.
She knew he wouldn't just leave her out in the cold.
She still had the ultimate bargaining chip in her womb, didn't she?
