My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 81

"Seraphina, what is the meaning of this?" Samuel's voice was filled with exasperation.

Seraphina's tone remained perfectly calm. "Mr. Simmons, as the second-largest shareholder of The Simmons Group, I have the right to propose an extraordinary shareholder meeting under the company bylaws. It's entirely legal and compliant."

"You..." Samuel was so furious he couldn't even form a sentence.

He had intended to ask her for help, never expecting her to flip the board and corner him instead.

"Sera, what exactly are you trying to do?" Samuel asked, suppressing his rage.

"I want to enter The Simmons Group. I want a seat on the board," she stated plainly.

"Impossible!" Samuel rejected the idea immediately.

Seraphina let out a light chuckle. "Mr. Simmons, that isn't up to you. The bylaws state clearly that with my thirty percent stake, I have the right to nominate a director. If you're unwilling, we can always let the lawyers handle it."

A long silence stretched over the line.

Samuel's tone finally softened. "Sera, we're family. Why can't we just talk things out? If you just suddenly issue a formal letter like this, what will the rest of the board think?"

"Family?" Seraphina’s voice dripped with sarcasm. "Mr. Simmons, how exactly did you treat me in the past? Why didn't you consider us family back then?"

"That was your mother..." Samuel started, then abruptly cut himself off.

"What about my mother?" Her voice turned icy.

Samuel didn't answer her question directly. Instead, he said, "Sera, let's leave the past in the past. If you want a seat on the board, we can negotiate, but you can't just blindside us like this."

She scoffed. "Mr. Simmons, I'm not negotiating with you. I'm informing you. The letter has already been sent out. You can handle the shareholder meeting however you see fit."

With that, she hung up.

Listening to the dead dial tone, Samuel seethed with anger.
