“Nothing right?”

“Wait…what?”

“You didn’t feel anything, did you? He asked me.

“Did you?”

“Honestly….no I’m sorry Marie. I wanted to at least a little but it was sort of like kissing my sister

I started laughing. “Thank God. I had been wanting to kiss you for awhile and when it happened!

felt the same way. Like kissing my brother,”

“That being said, your body is sexy as F*ck.”

“Hunter!”

“I am still a man and sh*t I wanted to give you what you wanted last night.”

I knew my face was red, but I was glad we could talk about everything and still be cool with each

other.

“I don’t know what got into me.”

“I thought it was going to be Colton.”

I rolled my eyes.

“Where is he, by the way?”

“Getting things ready for tonight. I have never….I mean never seen him this excited.”

I couldn’t help but smile. “Do you want to grab lunch and run me home so I can get ready?”

By the time I got home it was after 4. Colton messaged me he would pick me up at 6 and to dress

casually.

I spent the next 2 hours trying to look my best. Silly, I know, since just last night this man saw me

almost completely naked, but I wanted to look perfect.

Ten minutes before 6, I heard a knock at my door. I opened the door to find Colton standing in front

of me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It was an assortment of different kinds of flowers.

“Thank you, they are beautiful.” I stepped aside and walked to the kitchen to get a vase.

“Not as beautiful as you.” He said, smiling.

He closed the distance between us and kissed my cheek.

“Thank you.” My cheeks were pink for sure.

“Are you ready?”

I nodded and we went out the door. He even opened the truck door for me.

“Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise.”

“Ok”

“That’s it? Just ok?”

“I like surprises,” I said, shrugging and smiling at him.

He chuckled and before I knew it, we were at his house. But we didn’t stop at the house. He drove

us behind the house and in front of the barn was a table set up and an outside movie area.

He stopped the truck and ran around to my side and helped me out.

He walked me to the table and pulled out the chair.

He sent a quick message and sat across from me at the table.

“Do you want something to drink?”

“I don’t know if I should after last night.”

“Well, I have water, soda, beer, or wine.”

“I think I can handle a beer for now.”

He smiled and grabbed two beers from the cooler and opened one for each of us.

“I hope this is OK. I just wanted all of your attention tonight. In case you don’t give me a second

date.”

“No, this is great. You did all of this for me?”

“Yeah, well, I sort of asked my mom for ideas and she got on Pinterest and, well, here we are.”

I couldn’t help but giggle.

“I love it.”

“After dinner, I thought we could go for a walk around the farm and I could show you some of my favorite places and when it gets dark we can watch a movie under the stars.”

“I would like that.”

A deep cough broke up our conversation. “Your dinner,” Hunter said, winking at me as he placed a

plate in front of me and then Colton.

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” He turned and walked away.

“Did he cook this?” I asked.

“No mom’s in the house. But he did tell me all your favorites.”

“You know Hunter and I are just friends, right?”

“Yes I do.”

“I just wanted to make sure after last night and me being almost naked in the kitchen.”

He started laughing and couldn’t seem to stop.

“It’s not that funny, Colton.”

“It is a little. Hunter talked about it all day.”

“Oh gosh.”

Dinner was amazing and, just like before, it was beyond easy to talk to Colton.

After dinner, I grabbed the plate to carry it into the house but Colton stopped me.

“Don’t worry about the dishes. Come on.” He put his hand out and I eagerly took his hand.

We walked and we ended at a stream and it was beautiful.

“Um Colton.”

“Yes.”

“I feel like you left out something that happened last night to save my feelings.”

He smiled and pulled me to him. “If I did?”

“I want to know what happened.”

He pressed his lips to mine and instantly responded. He ran his tongue across my lip and opened my mouth and allowed him access. He deepened the kiss and I felt myself melt.

He pulled away and smiled at me.

“You were lying on your belly in just your panties. It took all of my energy not to take you.”

I felt my breath hitch.

“Then I turned off the lights and crawled into bed with you.”

He kissed me again and then took a seat on the ground and pulled me onto his lap.

“You then straddled me and began kissing me.”

I turned in his lap and looked at his face and could tell he was being serious

“I guess it could have been worse.”

“I rather enjoyed it but I would rather you, be sober and grinding on me.”

I don’t know why, but at that moment I wanted nothing more than to kiss him again. I pressed my lips to his and began kissing me, causing me to feel hot all over

I pulled away and turned in his lap and we watched the sunset together. It was perfect.

We walked back toward the barn and he started a movie as I made myself comfortable on the pillows and blankets set up on the ground.

He pulled me to him and I snuggled in. I realized Hunter was right. I never stopped liking Colton. My attraction to him was strong. I might have managed to push it down and ignore the attraction but it never went away.
