Next Man, Better Plan novel Chapter 127

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, his gaze deepening.

He took another small sip of wine, a trace of red staining his lips. At that moment, Jonathan looked exceptionally captivating.

"Stephanie, besides Quennel, Eden, and this 'male friend,' how many other side pieces do you have stashed away behind my back?"

"..." Stephanie looked up in surprise.

The moment their eyes met, she felt as if she had fallen into a bottomless abyss.

The man's gaze lingered on her face for a few seconds before slowly traveling down her chin, inch by inch.

Stephanie sat there quietly, her semi-dry hair falling over her shoulders, her expression a little dazed despite her stunning features.

Wasn't this a huge misunderstanding?

What side pieces?

Just as Stephanie was trying to figure out how to explain, Jonathan stood up.

He swayed, his eyes looking a bit unfocused, as if he'd had too much to drink and couldn't stand steadily.

Jonathan was tall and long-legged. Seeing him teetering, about to hit his hip on the corner of the table, Stephanie kindly reached out to steady him.

The man's body leaned into hers, his arm naturally wrapping around her waist.

He rested his chin on the top of her head, enveloping her small frame. "So eager? You've been lusting after my body for a while now, haven't you?"

"..."

Stephanie could clearly tell that Jonathan was drunk.

He smelled faintly of wine, mixed with a cool, woody scent that was surprisingly pleasant.

Their eyes met, and Stephanie felt like something in his gaze was luring her closer.

From Stephanie's perspective, she had a perfect view of his sexy Adam's apple.

Jonathan exuded the cool composure of a man in power, but his eyes were like a vortex, pulling people in.

Stephanie didn't dare to look at him any longer. She said softly, "You're drunk. I'll call Steven to come take care of you."

She helped him to the sofa and took out her phone, pulling up Steven's number.

Just as her finger was about to press the call button, Jonathan seemed to remember something and grabbed her wrist.

"He's a man. How is he supposed to take care of me?"

Steven's phone was with him; he had confiscated it earlier.

Jonathan tilted his head, his eyes dark. "Help me to my room. I can put myself to bed."

Stephanie: "..."
