Stephanie's small, palm-sized face was filled with distress, her eyes brimming with tears, her expression full of fear.
Quennel saw Jonathan too. He was stunned, not expecting him to show up.
Quennel frowned.
What was going on? How did Jonathan manage to open his front door without making a sound?
Right, the passcode had always been Stephanie's birthday. Jonathan must have guessed it.
But before Quennel could say a word, Jonathan's fist connected with his face.
Caught off guard, Quennel's lip instantly swelled, and blood trickled out.
He instinctively tried to fight back, but Jonathan, with his military training, anticipated his every move. Each of his blows overpowered Quennel, and every punch was thrown with brutal force.
Seeing Stephanie's condition, Jonathan was practically exploding with rage. As a man, how could he tolerate this?
The two men quickly fell into a brawl. Soon, Quennel's mouth was covered in blood, and Jonathan had a few scrapes as well, though they seemed to be only superficial.
Finally, Quennel collapsed to his knees, unable to get up. Stephanie saw Jonathan raise his fist again and quickly said, "Jonathan, stop. Let's just go."
No matter what, Quennel had saved her tonight. She couldn't be too ruthless, or it would be difficult to explain to Mr. Gonzalez.
Besides, she felt so awful right now… she wanted to take her clothes off again… The drug was still raging through her system.
Jonathan noticed Stephanie's pale face and his gaze fell on her bare feet.
He pursed his lips, said nothing, and swept her up into his arms before turning to leave.
Their figures quickly disappeared from view. Quennel slowly got to his feet, his eyes shining brightly.
He couldn't help but smile. Stephanie, you really do have feelings for me. You couldn't bear to see me get hurt, you even pleaded with Jonathan for me.
Quennel nonchalantly wiped the blood from his lip and was about to close the door.
Suddenly, Vivian's face appeared outside.
Vivian's eyes were red. "Quennel, did you sleep with her tonight? How can someone of your status get involved with a married woman? What will people say if this gets out!"
Quennel chuckled. "Yes, we did. If you can't handle it, then get out. Who I get involved with is none of your business."
With that, Quennel slammed the door shut, leaving Vivian outside.
Vivian's mind reeled with Quennel's words: "Yes, we did."
Her eyes turned red with humiliation.
Why? She was Quennel's official girlfriend. Why did Stephanie have to seduce her man?
Vivian's eyes filled with hatred.
Sleeping together at her family's hotel wasn't enough; Stephanie then had Quennel bring her back to his home.
Shameless! Vile homewrecker! She was being driven mad!
