Meanwhile, Malrik took the potion that Alaric handed him. The moment he opened it, a harsh, unpleasant smell hit his nose. Alaric looked at him apologetically and said, “I’m sorry, Malrik. I know it doesn’t smell nice, but it’s extremely beneficial for your body.”

He spoke with complete sincerity, and there was nothing about his expression that could be faulted.

He gently kissed Emma on the forehead and asked softly, “Emma, have you ever thought about going back?”

Emma answered, “When I first arrived, I wasn’t used to this place and really wanted to go back. But now, I hardly think about it anymore. I still miss my past life and my friends, though.”

More often than not, she missed her grandmother.

Silas nodded. Although he’d never heard of Earth, he was certain that Emma being able to come here had something to do with the Beast God.
