Emma cradled the two eggs in her arms. The moment she felt their warmth, she knew she had to find Lucien.

She needed to tell him right away.

“These are ours?”

She shoved the basket right into his arms.

Lucien looked back at her.

“You just gave birth. Let me take you back so you can rest.”

“I’m fine. I feel incredible right now.”
