Downstairs, Corvin had just finished tying Remy’s hair.

Looking at the little tufts on Remy’s head, he chuckled. “You look so cute right now, Remy.”

How is it that when Remy wears little tufts like this, it looks adorable, but when it’s on me, it just looks ridiculous?!

“That’s because you’re good at it, Daddy Corvin,” Remy said generously, praising Corvin without hesitation.

Corvin beamed at the compliment, immediately forgetting about his funny hairstyle.

Hand in hand, Emma and Silas stepped out of the levitating elevator. Seeing the scene, Silas smiled and said to Emma, “Remy’s been working hard these past few days, too. Let him stay home tonight.”

So he knew Remy had been working hard, following him around these past few days. Emma had thought he hadn’t noticed. “Okay.” Emma nodded with a smile. “I’ll take good care of Remy. Just focus on your work.”

Her heart ached seeing Remy follow Silas around all day for work, but this was Silas‘ way of raising him. Emma felt sorry for the boy, yet she didn’t oppose it.

She was human, after all, and there were many things about how petalyn therians survived that she simply didn’t understand. Sila teaching Remy would surely be better than anything she could do.

The moment Remy saw Emma, he jumped up from the sofa and shot straight into her arms.

“Wow! Mama, you’re so pretty!”

Clinging to her shoulders, Remy stared at the flower wreath on Emma’s head with shining eyes, his little mouth sweet as honey.

“You look like a flower fairy who stepped out of a magazine wearing this wreath, Mama! Dad’s craftsmanship is amazing. It’s a perfect match for you!”

The little boy not only praised his mother but also slipped in a compliment for Silas. His survival instincts were clearly excellent. Emma’s heart blossomed with joy at her son’s praise, and she couldn’t help kissing his chubby cheek.

The little tufts sticking up all over Remy’s head were admittedly a bit funny. But paired with his delicate, round face, the effect was undeniably adorable.

“You’re also really adorable today,” Emma said with a smile, holding him in her arms.

Corvin walked over, his gaze first falling on the radiant wreath atop Emma’s head.

“Emma, that wreath looks beautiful on you. Those are Silas‘ flowers, right? Did he make that wreath?”

“Sifas, make one for me too.”

If he wore a wreath, at least it could cover up his new hairstyle.

Silas nodded. “Sure. When Emy finally agrees to let you change your hairstyle, I’ll give you one just like it.”

Corvin fell silent.

Silas had changed. He was no longer a buddy.

Ignoring Corvin, Silas turned to Emma and said gently, “Emy, I’m heading out.”

He was so busy that he didn’t even have time to eat dinner at home. If Emma hadn’t messaged him, he might not have been able t return that day at all.

Emma nodded and carried Remy as she walked him to the door.

Silas‘ airship had just left the castle when Lucien’s airship appeared above it.

“Emma, that’s Lucien’s airship,” Corvin said, pointing at the craft slowly descending.

Holding Remy in her arms, Emma watched the airship land steadily before the castle and nodded. “I see it.”

Lucien hadn’t taken long to arrive either. Once the airship landed, the hatch opened quickly, and two tall figures stepped out one after the other.

‘Why is Calum back too?” Corvin asked in confusion when he saw Calum walking out beside Lucien.

He had only sent Emma’s photo to Edric, Lucien, and Silas–he hadn’t sent it to Calum.

‘Lucien messaged me before he returned,” Emma explained. “Calum happened to be heading back as well, so they came together

Since Corvin hadn’t sent Calum the photo, Emma hadn’t messaged him to come back either.

“Oh.” Corvin nodded in understanding, then took Remy from Emma’s arms. “Emma, you’ll probably need to tais Let me hold Remy.”

Now that Remy had grown into his child form, he was still a bit heavy. He didn’t want Emma to get tired.

Remy also knew he shouldn’t tire his mother. Hearing Corvin’s words, he quickly added, “Mama, Daddy Corvin is right, Let him Carry me.”
