No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1399

Blake was the first to reply. "That doesn't make any sense. Carl was the first to spot the van, yes, but he wouldn't have known that someone was inside, right?"

Frank also felt that Mia's theory did not make sense. "Yeah, the van was covered by a tarp as well. Who would've thought that there was someone inside?"

He then turned to Cedric and continued, "I know you want to find Noelle right now, but you can't just go around pointing fingers at us, can you? This is disrespectful."

Blake nodded and added on, "I admit that we've done some terrible things to Noelle in the past, but why would we do something like taking her away in secret after we know about the truth now? Besides, what would be the point of hiding her away?"

Cedric stared at the two Liddell brothers. For some reason, he just could not bring himself to trust them. He turned to the driver and said, "Let's go. To the Liddell family residence."

Mia glanced over and said, "Noelle slammed herself at the van's doors in the middle of the night, remember? Wouldn't someone have heard the noise? It would only make Carl try to search around, wouldn't it?"

She felt that her theory was starting to make a lot of sense after she had laid out her thoughts. She then turned to Eugene and said, "We're going, too."

With that, two different cars drove off immediately. Frank and Blake exchanged a glance with each other before quickly getting back in their car to follow after them.

Blake sat in the passenger seat and said, "Frank, what do you think about all of this?"

Frank replied, "I don't think Carl would do this. He has always been rather strange, yes, but I don't think he'd try to hide Noelle away at a time like this. What would be the point, even?"

He still believed in Carl. As of now, everyone was worried about Noelle's safety. There was no reason for anyone to try to take Noelle and hide her away.

Blake frowned and replied, "I can't shake the feeling that Carl is planning something behind our backs. Why did he just leave for the island before we even found Noelle? Is work more important than her?"

Frank replied, "You're right, it doesn't make any sense."

"I know, right? First, it was Donovan who drove off, saying that he had work to do, and then Carl said that he needed to head back to the island to handle something.
