No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1400

Given just how much Cedric cared for Noelle, there was no telling what he might do in response. Neither Blake nor Frank had spoken a word since. As they arrived back home, they saw Cedric and his group getting out of their cars and walking inside.

They were a step too late.

Blake spoke up. "Carl hasn't left yet. I just messaged him to ask him about his whereabouts."

Frank replied, "Noelle's probably still at home if he hasn't left yet. I hope that we can find her now.

"Our current priority right now is to get Cedric away from the house. We can't let this situation get any more complicated than it already is."

Blake eventually nodded as well. He agreed that the matter should be handled internally within the family.

The Liddells can not afford to deal with Cedric's rage if he were to find out about what was going on. The Liddell family was no longer what it used to be.

Just then, Cedric was stopped at the entrance by the guards, but he did not care about them at all. He just pushed them aside and walked right into the house.

Carl was standing at the door. He was feeling somewhat guilty when he saw Cedric. He was unsure whether Cedric had already discovered something or if the latter was merely suspicious of him.

Carl considered many sorts of possibilities, but he made sure to appear calm on the surface. "Mr. Greene, why are you here at my house instead of looking for Noelle?"

Cedric glanced at Carl and then turned to his men beside him. "Search every nook and cranny of this place."

Carl's expression shifted. "What do you think you're doing, Cedric? Do you think you could've recovered so quickly if I didn't save you from the brink of death after the car accident? You'd still be lying in a hospital bed as a cripple!"

Cedric looked up with a cold look in his eyes. "I said, search every nook and cranny!"

He did not have the time for Carl's nonsense. He knew that the only reason Carl had saved him was because Noelle begged him to.
