No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1407

Blake believed that Cedric did not suspect Carl for no good reason. Frank spoke up, "They didn't find Noelle anywhere in the house, nor on the helicopter. Why are you suspecting Carl as well?"

"Carl must be hiding Noelle on the island. We'll know where she is when we go there later. He can't hide her from us forever."

Frank let out a sigh and replied, "Alright, let's just wait and see. We don't have to worry too much if we're certain that Noelle's already on the island."

Carl taking Noelle away in secret was over the line, but if they could confirm that Noelle was no longer missing and was at the very least safe on the island, then everything else was secondary.

Frank continued, "I'll find a way to bring Noelle back home if Carl has really taken her away. I will not let her suffer."

Blake replied, "So we're on the same page, right, Frank? Carl has issues. He did horrible things to Noelle in that dream. What if he does it again?"

Frank's expression shifted. "He wouldn't, would he?"

Blake glanced at Frank and replied, "We really can't take that risk."

He would not allow what had happened in the dream to happen again.

…

Cedric walked out of the Liddell family residence to everyone who was waiting for him outside. Eugene shook his head at him.

Mia's heart sank even further as she realized that they had made a wrong guess.

Alfred walked up to Cedric and patted him on the shoulder. "Let's go to the hospital for now."

Cedric staggered forward like a broken wind-up doll. He took a few steps forward before collapsing to the ground once more.

Everyone scrambled to get Cedric to the hospital for emergency rescue. That was when Mia started sobbing uncontrollably in the car. "Why couldn't we find Noelle?"

Eugene held her tightly and replied, "We've found Noelle."

"Are you saying that Carl really took her away?"
