No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I'm Done novel Chapter 112

**TITLE: My Heart Waited Too Long and Choosing Freedom**
**Chapter 112: The Lie He Tried to Bury**

Ethan leaned against the wall, his heart racing as Mason’s voice cut through the air like a knife. “Ethan, I know why you came to find me.” Mason reclined back, his demeanor shifting to one of lazy indifference, yet a coldness seeped through his words. “That new clean-energy project in Litginia—you want a piece of it, right? And I see you’ve also been eyeing the hotel-supply contract under Everett Group’s travel division.”

Ethan felt his stomach drop. His intentions, his carefully guarded plans, had been laid bare for all to see, stripped of their secrecy as if they were nothing more than trivial gossip.

But it wasn’t the exposure that stung the most; it was the way Mason’s tone morphed. The casualness evaporated, replaced by a chilling edge and a cruel smirk that suggested he relished in Ethan’s discomfort.

“I won’t stop you if you want to talk business. But tell me, what were you thinking, bringing your side woman here and flaunting her before me?” Mason’s words dripped with disdain.

Ethan’s mind went blank, a sudden fog enveloping his thoughts. The ringing in his ears drowned out everything else, a deafening reminder of his mounting dread.

Panic surged within him like a tidal wave, suffocating and relentless.

He reacted on impulse, his voice laced with desperation as he snapped, “Hannah, what on earth are you talking about?!” He turned sharply to her, his expression a mix of anger and disbelief. “Didn’t I ask you to keep quiet? Why can’t you just stop talking? Do you want to make this situation even worse for me?”

Hannah’s eyes widened, shock and confusion flickering across her features.

But Ethan was already done with her. The weight of his humiliation pressed heavily on him as he turned back to Mason, his tone shifting to one of pleading. “Mason, please don’t misunderstand. There’s nothing between me and her.”

“I came here to meet you alone, but she insisted on coming along, claiming she had never met you in person. I couldn’t say no to her. Please, don’t take this the wrong way.”

Then, without giving Hannah a chance to respond, he dismissed her with a wave of his hand, as if she were nothing more than an annoying fly buzzing around his head. “Alright, Hannah. This is not your business anymore. You can leave now. Mason prefers not to deal with random strangers.”

In an instant, Hannah transformed in the eyes of those present—from a friend to a desperate, clingy woman attempting to climb the social ladder.

Frustration coursed through her veins, nearly overwhelming her.

Her eyes glistened with unshed tears.

She glanced around the room, searching for even a hint of sympathy, but all she encountered were mocking gazes, curled lips, and quiet laughter that pierced her heart like daggers.

And then Mason delivered the final blow, as if he were pushing her off a cliff with no hope of recovery.

He looked at her unsteady figure, his voice dripping with disdain. “Since she’s here with such bad intentions, I doubt she ever treated Amelia right.”

“I don’t know exactly what you’ve done, but since you’re already here, why don’t you go ahead and apologize to Amelia now? Consider it a preemptive measure to make up for any trouble you might cause later.”

This wasn’t an apology; it was a public shaming, forcing her to confess in front of everyone that she was a manipulative woman who had tormented Amelia.

Hannah felt her head hang low in shame, her teeth biting down hard on her lip to suppress the flood of emotions threatening to spill over.
