No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I'm Done novel Chapter 123

**Chapter 123: What’s Wrong With Staying at My Place?**

Amelia’s mind raced with conflicting thoughts. Why was Mason so insistent on her staying at his place? Surely, he must have someone else in his life by now. Did he not worry about the rumors that might swirl around them if anyone found out?

“Oh?” Mason’s lips curled into a teasing smile, one that hinted at secrets and mischief.

“You’re nominally my sister, so what’s the big deal about staying at my place? We’ve lived together before without any issues,” he pointed out, his tone light yet assertive.

“That’s different!” Amelia shot back, her voice rising in protest, her cheeks flushing slightly.

“It’s not different at all,” he interrupted, his gaze steady and unwavering. “You really don’t need to fret about what others might say. No one would dare to spread gossip about us. And as for my reputation…”

He let out a soft chuckle, a sound that blended confidence with a hint of disdain. It was clear to him that his standing would remain unscathed by something as trivial as this.

“And…”

“You don’t even have the option to refuse anymore,” he added, a glint of mischief dancing in his eyes.

“Huh?” Amelia’s expression morphed into one of confusion, her brows knitting together as she tried to process his words.

“I already spoke to my mom this morning,” Mason said, watching her face blank out momentarily, a deeper smile creeping onto his lips. “She’s thrilled to hear you’re moving in.”

“Thrilled?” Amelia echoed, her heart fluttering at the thought.

“She even bought a mountain of things for you. And she promised that when she comes back, she’ll bake your favorite sea salt caramel cupcakes herself,” he continued, his tone warm and inviting.

Nora… the thought of Mason’s mother, with her nurturing spirit, sent a wave of comfort through Amelia, momentarily distracting her from the swirling doubts in her mind.

Just as she began to lose herself in thoughts of cupcakes and family, the distant rumble of a truck engine broke through her reverie.

Ding-dong! The doorbell rang, cutting through the air like a sharp knife.

Mason stood up, a spring in his step as he moved toward the door.

Outside, a group of movers clad in uniforms stood by a large truck, its bed overflowing with brand-new furniture and decorations, the sight both overwhelming and exhilarating.

“Hello, Mr. Everett. We have the furniture your mother ordered. Is it a good time to bring it in?” the lead mover inquired politely, his demeanor professional and respectful.

Amelia’s eyes widened in disbelief, her mouth slightly agape as she watched the movers efficiently carry in piece after piece of exquisite furniture.

They’re incredibly fast! Her mind raced, unable to keep up with the whirlwind of activity.

“Are your mother and brother coming back soon?” she asked, her curiosity piqued.

“Yes, they’ll be back next week,” Mason confirmed with a nod, his expression turning serious. “My brother managed to contact a highly skilled but retired doctor. Mom went with him to get a check-up and some treatment.”

Hearing this news lifted a weight off Amelia’s chest. It wouldn’t just be her and Mason living in this house; the thought of family returning filled her with a sense of relief and hope.

Fine, she thought to herself, maybe moving in wouldn’t be so bad after all.

After all, Ethan had the attention span of a goldfish. If he came to the studio once or twice and didn’t find her, he would likely give up. This place, with its serene atmosphere, was perfect for her to hide away for a few days.
