No Sex for Six Years Because of Her? I’m Done!
Chapter 377 Reminder
Amelia’s movements were practiced enough.
But just as she started to act, her ankle was firmly caught.
Mason yanked her back and pressed her down onto the bed again.
“Don’t move.”
Without giving her a chance to protest, he snatched the nearby blanket and covered her completely.
Mason hit the remote by the door.
A small patch near the doorway lit up, while the bed stayed in shadow.

As long as no one came over and lifted the blanket, they’d never notice someone was hiding underneath.
Once everything was set, Mason stood by the door, took a deep breath, and made his voice sound calm and natural.
Then he opened the door.
Under the yellow glow of the hallway lamp, the figure sitting in a wheelchair made him pause slightly.
It wasn’t his mom like he’d expected–it was Evan.
“Evan?” Mason was clearly surprised. He stepped aside to let him in, confusion in his tone. “It’s late. What brings you here?”
Evan maneuvered his wheelchair smoothly inside.
He casually lifted his gaze, his eyes sweeping over the depth of the bedroom.
His gaze paused on the bed for less than half a second before he calmly looked away.
“Nothing much. I couldn’t sleep, so I came by to talk,” Evan said lightly, giving nothing away.
Mason closed the door quietly, ensuring privacy without raising suspicion.
He leaned against the wall next to the door.
“Talk about what? Why didn’t you bring it up downstairs while Mom was there?”

“Some things aren’t easy to say in front of Mom.” Evan paused, then got to the real reason for his visit. “Grandma called me a couple of days ago.”
Mason’s gaze cooled instantly.
“What did she say?” His voice was even, but his arms folded more tightly across his chest.
“Same as always,” Evan said, sounding helpless. “She asks how you’re doing, if you’ve got a girlfriend… Looks like she still hasn’t given up on meddling in your personal life.”
Mason let out a sharp, sarcastic laugh, his face showing clear irritation. “If she’s that bored, she can go play chess in the park or dance in the square. She’s not young anymore. She should stop wasting time interfering in my life.”
He showed no attempt to soften his sharp, rebellious words toward his controlling grandmother.
Evan didn’t look surprised. He smiled faintly and smoothly changed the topic.
“By the way, when you came back early the other week, Ms. Jewell came by a few times. I’ve heard she’s back in the country and getting pretty close to Grandma.”
He looked at Mason seriously. “Just keep an eye on it. Be careful.”
Mason frowned slightly, then quickly relaxed.
“I know,” he said calmly, nodding once. “She can’t cause anything major. You don’t need to worry. I’ve got it handled.”
“What about Amelia?” Evan’s tone grew serious.
He looked straight at his younger brother, carrying the weight of an elder brother’s concern.
“Mason, don’t tell me you think of her as just a little sister.”
Mason’s heart sank.
What he’d been most worried about had finally happened. Evan was forcing him to take a clear
stance.
His eyes flicked instinctively toward the quiet lump under the blanket. He thought of the person hiding there, worried that Evan’s words would only make Amelia more afraid, more likely to retreat.
Mason sighed.

He met Evan’s probing gaze, his voice low. “About that… I think my attitudes are pretty
obvious.”
Did he really need to spell it out?
Evan smiled, satisfied. He nodded, finally relaxing his tense shoulders.

“As long as you know what you’re doing. I just wanted to remind you. No matter what happens between you and her, Amelia is always the little sister I want to protect.”
He paused, looking Mason straight in the eye and emphasizing each word. “So don’t hurt her.”
With that, Evan didn’t stay. He turned his wheelchair toward the door. “Alright, I’m heading back. You should get some rest too.”
There was a meaningful tone in that last line.
Mason opened the door and watched as Evan’s wheelchair disappeared down the hallway. Only then did he close the door completely.
The room fell silent again.
He turned and walked quickly to the bed.
“Alright, he’s gone.” He gently poked the lump under the blanket, his voice softer than before.
