Chapter 475 Trouble
Things went back to the old routines, but everything felt different.
Before, her eyes had been full of love, admiration, and warmth whenever she looked at him.
Now, there was only calm detachment, polite but distant.
Amelia felt exhausted. She nodded at his arrangement. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll rest.”
Without looking back, she went to the familiar room.
The room hadn’t changed–spotless, well cared for.
Finished
Classic pearwood furniture, simple orchid–embroidered, bedding–every detail reflected Fiona’s taste and thoughtfulness.
But for Amelia, it carried only lonely, unbearable memories.
She closed the door gently, sat on the edge of the bed, and pulled out her phone to call Mason.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang sharply.
Her fingers froze above the screen.
Who could it be, this late?
Ethan? But he just said he wouldn’t come.
Doubt swirled, and the doorbell rang again.
Suppressing a sudden annoyance, Amelia got up and cracked the door open.
Her pupils shrank.
Standing in the hallway under the bright lights weren’t the people she’d expected.
In front was Grace, and behind her were Vivian Cohen and Cass Rowe, two other elders of the Rowes.
Amelia’s heart sank.
Trouble had arrived, just as she’d suspected.
But her face stayed calm.
She stepped aside and spoke politely but distantly, “It’s late. Do you need something?”
Grace opened her mouth but only, sighed, stepping inside.
Vivian and Cass followed, sitting on the guest couch without asking.
Amelia stayed standing, leaning against the door and silently watching.

Chapter 475 Trouble
Grace sat quietly for a long moment.
Finally, the impatient Vivian couldn’t wait.
“Amelia, we’re here about Fiona’s will. We’ve discussed it.
“You’re no longer a Rowe, so you have no right to her estate!”
She said it as if she owned the place, her tone full of arrogance.
Amelia found it almost funny.
A slow smile curved her lips, and she asked, reflecting Vivian’s own words, “So you all came here late at night just to persuade me to give it up?”
“Watch your tone!” Vivian snapped, standing up.
“We’re your elders! How can you be so disrespectful? Do you have any manners?”
“I’m divorced.” Amelia’s eyes turned cold, meeting Vivian’s furious gaze steadily. “And respect goes both ways.”
“You-” Vivian was red with anger, about to retort, but Grace’s low voice stopped her.
“Enough, Vivian. Sit down.”
Grace turned to Amelia. “We’re not forcing you to give up the estate.
“That was Fiona’s last wish. As juniors, we should respect that.”
She spoke reasonably at first, but then her tone shifted.
“Still, Vivian has a point. That estate belongs to us, and you’re not one of us anymore.
So, you have two choices.
“If you want it legitimately, you’d need to rejoin us. Remarry Ethan.”
