Amelia felt something stir gently in her heart, and in that instant, all the tension inside her seemed to melt

away.

She couldn’t help thinking that Tim and Lily might never have planned to give up from the very beginning. It was just that in the world of grown–ups, there were always too many doubts and struggles. Sometimes people simply needed time to face them and come to terms with them.

Amelia leaned closer to look. On the screen was a lengthy shopping list–everything from snacks, soft drinks, liquor, candy, seafood, and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Each item was carefully categorized, detailed enough to make her eyes widen.

The two of them pushed a cart and started shopping according to the list.

“Mom says this brand of portobello is nice for grilling because they are thick and juicy, Mason said as he picked up a bag of portobello from the shelf and dropped it into the cart.

“Then… which pistachios should we get?” Amelia stared at the rows of colorful mut packages in front of her, completely overwhelmed by the choices

“Whichever kind you like,” Mason spoke casually and grabbed two big bags of the brand she had once mentioned liking.

They moved through the aisles packed with all kinds of goods. Mason focused on collecting the necessary items from the list, while Amelia wandered beside him like a curious kid, often distracted by the holiday snacks displayed everywhere.
