Chapter 625 Stuck With Mr Everett

Amelia still wasn’t convinced. His explanation sounded far too casual.

She opened her mouth to say something more, but a warm hand suddenly covered her lips. It was not too tight, but it was firm enough to stop her.

Mmm

Mason leaned in close and lowered his voice, his warm breath brushing against her ear.

Ms. Harlow, the plane’s about to take off. The announcement’s already playing,he said, looking straight into her eyes, enunciating every word. Face it. The only one who’ll be with you in this trip from beginning to end is me, Mason Everett.

Amelia was so annoyed by his attitude she could barely stand it, yet she couldn’t break free. In the end, she bit down on his palmnot too hard, but enoughlike an irritated kitten declaring her tiny protest.

Mason hissed softly in pain, but didn’t let go. If anything, the smile in his eyes deepened.

And Amelia, despite her fierce little act, was smiling without her noticing.

The sparkle in her eyes had also completely betrayed how she truly felt.

As the flight progressed, the cabin lights in business class grad dimmed. Only a few scattered reading

A longhaul flight was exhausting both physically and mentally. After her initial excitement faded, waves of drowsiness began to wash over Amelia.

She rubbed her dry eyes, originally propping her head up to read a/magazine, but her eyelids felt unbearably heavy.

The originally spacious business class seat now felt unusually cramped.

She wasn’t lying alone. Instead, she was tightly wrapped in someone’s armis.

At some point, Mason had crossed over the divider and squeezed into her side, halfleaning as he enclosed her between his chest and the seat.

The tip of his nose nearly brushed her forehead, and his long legs were intertwined with hers.

A shared blanket covered them both. The cabin temperature was perfectly fine, but the closeness of their bodies made her feel like she was burning.

Masonher voice was soft, slightly hoarse from sleep. She shifted restlessly, reaching out to push his shoulder. It’s hotGo back to your seat. This is way too cramped.”

Mason didn’t open his eyes immediately. Instead, his arms around her waist tightened slightly, as if instinctively holding onto his preyeven in sleep.

Then, without even looking, his fingers moved across the control panel beside the seat to adjust the air vent, giving them a stronger airflow, and cooler temperature.

It’s fine. You won’t feel hot anymore,he murmured, eyes still closed, his voice carrying a lazy satisfaction. His chin brushed lightly against the top of her head. Stop fussing. Planes get cold. Staying close keeps you
