Ana
She got out of the truck and watched as Sloan strolled into view, walked down the steps on that plane and smiled at them. She helped Ocean out of the truck and smiled as she ran off to greet Sloan.
“Be careful Ocean.” She called out. The ground was covered in snow and the runway where the plane sat would be icy she thought, even though it had been cleared of snow and she thought recently.
“Aunty Sloan.” Ocean was calling out as she ran over there, waving her arm.
She and Maddie retrieved their luggage, and locked the truck up. It was parked under what looked like a long carport, there were half a dozen car-parks here, all marked out under it and cleared of snow. It had a slanted roof and what looked to be rolled up and tied up heavy-duty tarps on the long sides, to keep the weather out and protect the vehicles, she thought.
Sloan greeted them and then introduced herself to Slade and his unit, though she smiled as she spoke “It’s nice to see you again.” Clearly, she’d met them before.
Inside, the plane was like nothing she could ever have imagined. There was even a flight attendant waiting
to greet them. “Welcome to Willow Moon’s private jet, I’ll take your luggage for you.” she smiled.
Ocean was already gone off down the plane, had climbed up the stairs and ducked off inside after greeting Sloan. She was bouncing from chair to chair excitedly. It looked normal on the outside but was anything but on the inside. All pure luxury is what she registered.
The interior was white and light grey, it could seat 12, they’d been informed and it had a large plush lounge in the middle of that plane that could seat four easily and there was a large TV directly across from it.
Ocean was already on it, “Look mum, a TV.”
That lounge separated the seating, six in front and six behind, all of the same seating arrangement, four on the left side of the plane with a table in-between them, and they were facing each other, and two across the isle from them with a small table between them as well.
She watched Ocean get up from the lounge and run off down the back of the plane and then there was a happy squeal of excitement and Ocean yelled out “There’s a bed down here.”
“Don’t mess it up.” Ana called out.
“To late. I’m in it.” Ocean yelled right back.
Ana shook her head as she took a seat and Maddie chuckled and sat down as well. Londyn was gone off down the back. “Hey let me see.”
She watched Sloan talk to the flight attendant and then come this way, “Four of you will sit down the back, and once we’re up in the air you can move about, and I’ll pop a movie on for Ocean.”
“Sorry about Ocean, she’s apparently in that bed down there.”
“It’s fine, where my girls go as well,” she smiled “Now, before you all choose your seating, Austin has some rules. Ana and Ocean, will sit here with Slade and I, at these four seats. Everyone else can sit where they want to. I’m sure you understand as to why I’m sitting with you, Slade, and not one of your unit.”
“It’s fine.” He nodded. “There will be no issues on this flight.”
“Good,” Sloan nodded.
“Yuri and I can sit down the back,” Vance stated, “I’m sure Londyn and Zara won’t mind sitting with us. Palmer and Maddie can sit up here with you in the other two seats.”
Ana watched Sloan raise an eyebrow. He was the Beta and was opting not to sit with his Alpha, it wasn’t normal wolfen protocol, but that was all how they sat. She figured Vance was happy because it put himself with Zara and still left a Gamma up there with her.
“Now, I know you said there will be no issues.” Sloan stated “But I do expect all of you to be well-behaved, my bite is vicious, and my Mate will be a raging beast if anything happens to me or our pups on this flight.”
She patted her distended belly.
“Pups?” Ana asked as she sat down. “How many?”
“Four, Oakley is very happy and proud,” Sloan snorted. “Believes he did a good job.”
Maddie had those videos of Ocean up and running on the TV a few minutes later and Ocean sat with Slade on the lounge, and his unit joined them to watch as well.
She left them to it. “You’re doing alright, Ana?” Sloan asked her.
“Mm, I guess.” She nodded, though she hadn’t liked hearing what Palmer had just stated. It just made her feel more guilty to be honest, and she’d turned to look out the window and tried not to think about it.
Sloan touched her, knew she’d not spoken the truth and Ana just looked at her and shrugged. “I don’t really understand what happened back then, what I believed happened and what I read, or that Austin and the other council members stated so far. It doesn’t add up to me.” she sighed softly.
“I heard there is a lot going on.” Sloan nodded. “I also heard there’s a half-breed, fairy/witch combination inside the pack.”
“Mm, Aubrette, she’s a few years older than I am.”
“How many?” Sloan asked.
“Um, four or five.” She shrugged. “I didn’t hang out with her, she’s older and has her own social group.”
“Is she a good person?” Sloan asked.
“I don’t know, though I never heard anything bad about her. She’s happy working in her store, from my recollection, Ana stated, she didn’t know much about her, though she had been down there taken by Bronnie and the Luna before she got her wolf to pick out a piece of custom-made jewellery to wear. Slade had also been there that day.
Not that she had chosen anything; that would have made her look like a girl. She had declined all the offered pieces, then refused it completely when Bronnie had turned up with something of her choosing and tried to give it to her the night before she was to get her wolf.
The woman had even tried to put it on her, and they’d gotten in a fight about it. She recalled yelling at Bronnie about stop trying to make her look like a girl. That she was a Beta, not a girl. It was the only time she’d gotten into a massive fight with her. She had actually screamed at her and Anders, in the end, who’d come in to see what all the yelling was about.
She’d screamed at them both and disrespected them for the first time ever, screamed “I’m not going to .
