“This can’t be happening.” Bella said the moment Amber stepped out of the boardroom with her boyfriend. She stood up and began pacing up and down the room like someone who was losing her mind.

“That bitch killed your father and ran away. There were rumors she was dead. The guards swore she was dead. How the hell is she standing here here as the CEO of MPK.”

“Won’t you say something Damon?”

“Just fucking stop okay!” Damon snapped, his voice rising.

“Stop? That bitch came back from the dead and you want me to keep quiet? For God’s sake Damon, she killed your father. Shouldn’t you be putting her bitchy ass in jail?”

“And how the hell does she own MPK? That bitch lost everything when you locked her in jail. She was as penniless as a church rat. So how the hell did she manage to build all this?” She stopped walking, as if remembering something.

“Oh my God, did you see her handbag? Her clothes? Those are all Hermes. We could sell that and pay all the staffs in our companies for months. And we’d still be left with more.”

Bella spun to face Damon who was lost in thoughts. “You should check your vault. I’m sure that bitch stole from you when she ran away.”

“Enough!” Damon snapped, rising to his feet.

“Aren’t you tired of this Bella? Haven’t you bullied her enough?”

“What did you just say? How dare you defend her? That bitch stole from us and built her empire on our money and you still can’t see that?”

By now, all the members of Wayne Group and Cross Enterprise stood up and quietly left the room, leaving only Damon, Bella and Enzo. The lawyer stood opposite them, his expression dark as he watched the whole drama.

“For the second time Mrs Cross, you’d be wise to refrain from such accusations. Mrs Black is anything like what you’ve described her to be. I’ve worked with her for years and watched her build MPK from nothing. I won’t let you tarnish her name and call her a thief when she’s done nothing but work hard.” Enzo said calmly, the warning in his voice didn’t go unnoticed.

Bella scoffed. “Aren’t you a lawyer? You must have worked with a lot of companies in the past. You and I both know it’s impossible to build something like MPK without dirty money involved.”

“You have no idea what Mrs Black endured. You don’t know the lengths she had to go through to secure her partnership deals, or how hard she fought for every deal. Who are you to stand here and call her a thief?” Enzo asked with venom.

Damon said nothing and quietly excused himself. Right now, the only thing on his mind was finding Amber.

“I’ll call her whatever I want. You’ve only known that bitch for six years. I’ve known her my entire life. She’s nothing but a cheat and a liar. She stole my man once, and she would’ve taken everything else if I hadn’t claimed. back what was mine.” Bella barked, her voice laced with cold venom.

“Suit yourself Mrs Cross. I truly don’t understand why Mrs Black agreed to work with you. It’s obvious you’re nothing but trouble. If you were wise you’d stay out of her way. Believe me when I say this, you have no idea how much power Mrs Black holds.”

Bella rolled her eyes and grabbed her handbag. She glanced around the boardroom and realizing that Damon was nowhere in sight, she gave Enzo one last venomous look before storming out of the boardroom to find him.
