Oops Wrong Girl to Bully (Angelina) by Xena Kessler novel Chapter 131

Chapter 131*

Angelina’s POV

Tansy looked at her father’s face. Saw something there that made her stop arguing.

She turned back to glare at me. Her eyes were full of hate. Promising revenge.

Her expression said: Don’t let me catch you slipping, or I’ll destroy you.

I looked at her. Didn’t blink. Didn’t react.

Just stared back with complete indifference.

Steven dragged Tansy away. Her friends followed quickly. The blonde girl. The red-haired girl. The dark-haired guy.

All of them leaving fast. Trying to get away before things got worse.

Within thirty seconds, they were gone.

The courtyard felt different now. The tension had shifted.

David cleared his throat. “Well. That was unfortunate.” His voice was smooth again. “Some people simply don’t understand proper behavior.”

He looked at me. “I apologize for the disruption, Miss Sterling. It won’t happen again.”

“Good,” I said simply.

David gestured toward the mansion again. “Shall we?

I looked at Nathan. He was still standing there. Looking lost. “Dad, come on,” I said.

Nathan blinked. Looked at me. Then nodded slowly.

We started walking toward the entrance. David leading the way. Logan and Mia fell into step beside me.

Logan leaned close. His voice was quiet. “That was brutal.”

“She deserved it,” Mia whispered on my other side.

The mansion was exactly what I expected. A crowd of people in expensive clothes stood around holding wine glasses. Talking in small groups.

David opened his mouth. About to address the room.

I raised my hand slightly. A small gesture. But clear. He stopped. Looked at me. Then his eyes shifted to Nathan standing behind me.

Understanding flashed across his face.

“Of course,” he said quietly. Just to me.

Chapter 131*

A man in his sixties stepped forward. White hair. Expensive watch.

The Aria Sterling? The one who negotiated the Meridian partnership?”

David nodded. “The very same.”

The man extended his hand to me. “Jonathan Hayes. CEO of Hayes Industries. I’ve heard remarkable things about you, Miss Sterling. David here

wouldn’t stop talking about how sharp you were in negotiations.”

I shook his hand. “Thank you.”

Another person approached. Then another.

Within minutes, I was surrounded by business executives. All of them wanting to shake my hand. Ask questions. Make connections.

Logan and Mia stood off to the side. Both of them looking stunned.

Nathan was near the back. But he wasn’t invisible anymore.

People kept glancing at him. The father of David Pierce’s most important business partner.

A woman in a red dress approached Nathan. Introduced herself. Started talking to him about his company.

I watched this happen while half-listening to a conversation about investment portfolios.

Everything had shifted. These people didn’t care that I was fifteen. Didn’t care that my father was an Omega.

All they cared about was that David Pierce had called me his most important partner. That changed everything.

A server appeared with a tray of champagne glasses. I took one even though I had no intention of drinking it.

David appeared at my elbow. “Quite the entrance we made.*

“You did that on purpose.”

“Of course I did.” He took a sip of his own champagne. “Tansy Rodriguez has been insufferable since she was twelve. Her father is a decent businessman but raises his daughter like she’s royalty. Someone needed to knock her down a peg.”

‘And you chose to do it publicly.”

David’s expression was serious now. “Those terms you demanded in our meeting? The five years of financial statements, the independent audit, the pilot program? They made me respect you.”

He paused. “But watching you handle my son’s tantrum at the lake house Watching you stand up to me when everyone else just nods and agrees? That made me admire you.”

‘Flattery doesn’t change contract terms.”

David laughed. “No. It doesn’t. Which is why I think this partnership will work.”

Chapter 131*

Someone called his name from across the room. He excused himself.

Mia immediately appeared at my side. “Oh my god. OH MY GOD.”

“Calm down.”

“Calm down? CALM DOWN?” Her voice was a whisper-shout. “You’re the Head of West Coast Operations for Blackwater Cartel? THE Blackwater

Cartel?”

Logan was right behind her. “How? When? WHAT?’

“It’s a long story.”

“We have time!” Mia grabbed my arm. “Aria, this is insane! Do you know what Blackwater Cartel is? They control half the underground

businesses on the West Coast!”

“I’m aware.

Logan ran his hand through his hair. “My dad has been talking about you for days. The woman who made him agree to terms he never accepts.

I thought he was exaggerating. I thought-

“You thought I was just the Omega’s daughter,” I finished.

Logan’s face went red. “I didn’t mean it like that.”

“Yes you did. Everyone did.”

Mia looked guilty. “I never thought you were just that. But I also never thought you were… this.”

She gestured around the room. At all the powerful people trying to catch my attention.

“How does a fifteen-year-old become Head of West Coast Operations for one of the most powerful organizations in California?”

“Sixteen next month,” I corrected. “And I’m good at what I do.”

A server announced dinner was ready. Everyone started moving toward the dining room.

David appeared again. Touched my elbow lightly.

“You’re sitting at the head table with me and the other key partners. Your father as well, if he’s comfortable.”

I looked across the room. Nathan was talking to the woman in the red dress. She was laughing at something he said.

“He’ll sit with us.”

David nodded. Led me toward the dining room.

The dinner wrapped up around ten PM.

Servers cleared the last plates. Business partners stood around in small groups. Still talking. Still networking.

Chapter 131 *

David Pierce moved through the crowd. Shaking hands. Laughing at jokes. Playing the perfect host.

I watched Nathan across the room. He was talking to three different executives now. They were listening to him. Actually listening.

One of them handed Nathan a business card. Said something that made Nathan smile.

This was different from how people usually treated him. At pack gathering, people avoided eye contact. Spoke to him in short, dismissive

sentences.

“Ready to go?” Logan appeared next to me. “I can drive you home.”

“No. My dad drove here.”

“Oh. Right.” Logan looked uncomfortable. “Tonight was… intense.”

“It was a business dinner.”

“Yeah but…” He ran his hand through his hair. “The way my dad acted around you. The way everyone acted around you. That was insane.”

Mia walked over. “I still can’t believe any of this is real.”

I didn’t respond. Just watched as David started making his way toward me

He stopped in front of our group. “Miss Sterling, thank you again for coming tonight. I hope you enjoyed yourself.”

“It was fine.”

“Good, good.” He glanced at Nathan. “Your father made quite an impression. Jonathan Hayes is interested in discussing a potential partnership

with his company.”

“That’s good for him.”
