Oops Wrong Girl to Bully (Angelina) by Xena Kessler novel Chapter 157

Chapter 157 *

Angelina’s POV

“Aria, what are you…..

I didn’t answer. Just kept walking. My eyes tracked Saffron’s group ahead of us.

They were approaching the steps leading up to the dining facility. Concrete stairs. Six steps total.

Saffron was in the lead. Still ranting to Vanessa about something. Her hands gesturing wildly.

I calculated the distance. Thirty feet. Clear line of sight.

Adjusted for Saffron’s walking speed. Her position relative to the stairs.

Then I flicked my wrist.

The stone left my fingers. Moved so fast it was barely visible. A blur of motion in the evening air.

The faint whistle of its passage was drowned out by the ambient noise of the compound.

It hit exactly where I’d aimed. The hollow behind Saffron’s right knee. A pressure point. Precise. Controlled force.

Her leg gave out instantly.

Both knees hit the concrete stairs with a crack that echoed across the courtyard.

“FUCK!”

Saffron went down hard. Her hands slammed onto the steps trying to catch herself. But the momentum carried her forward. Her face nearly hit

the edge of the next step.

She ended up kneeling on the stairs. Both knees. Like she was bowing.

The people around her stopped moving. Stared.

“Oh my god, are you okay?” Vanessa reached for her arm.

Saffron was gasping. Her face twisted in pain. “My knee! Something hit my knee!*

“What? Nothing hit you. You just tripped.”

“I didn’t trip! Something- Saffron looked around wildly. Trying to find what had struck her.

But there was nothing. Just evening shadows and confused bystanders.

I walked past them. My pace steady. Unhurried.

Chen caught up to me. His voice was very quiet. “Did you just…..?”

I didn’t answer.

Riley was on my other side. I saw the corner of her mouth twitch. But she didn’t say anything either.

Behind us, Saffron was still on the stairs. Her friends trying to help her up. She was limping. Favoring her right leg.

Chen looked back. Then forward at me. Then back again.

Then he raised his voice slightly. “Careful on those stairs, Rodriguez! They can be tricky!”

Riley’s hand covered her mouth. Her shoulders shaking.

We walked into the dining facility. Let the door close behind us.

The building was warm. Bright lights. The smell of food.

Chen stopped walking. Turned to face me. “That was incredible.”

I headed toward the food line. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“The stone. I saw you pick it up. Then Saffron just happened to fall?”

“She tripped,” I said. “Like you said. The stairs are tricky.”

Riley was grinning now. No longer hiding it. “That was the most satisfying thing I’ve seen all week.”

“She deserved it,” Chen said. “After what she said about you.”

I grabbed a tray. Started moving down the line. The dinner options were basic. Grilled chicken. Rice. Vegetables. Bread rolls.

I took one of everything. Plus two bottles of water.

Riley and Chen followed behind me. Both getting their food.

We found a table in the back corner. Away from the main crowd.

I sat down. Started eating. The chicken was dry but edible. The rice was better.

Chen was still processing what happened. “How did you do that? The accuracy. The force. You hit a moving target from thirty feet away with a

rock.”

“Practice.”

“That’s not practice. That’s… I don’t even know what that is.”

Riley took a drink of water. “Maybe we should talk about something else. People are staring.”

I glanced around the dining facility. She was right. Multiple tables had the attention on us.

The whispers would be spreading. Two stories now. The marks on my neck Saffron’s dramatic fall on the stairs.

Chapter 157*

By tomorrow morning, everyone in the selection would have heard both versions.

“Let them stare,” Chen said. “Tomorrow in the Pit. Aria’s going to prove exactly what she’s capable of “

Riley looked concerned. “About that. Do you know anything about Pit fighting?”

“Some.” I said.

“How much is some?

1 chewed my chicken. Swallowed. “Enough.”

Riley and Chen exchanged looks.

“That’s not reassuring,” Riley said.

I finished my rice. Moved on to the vegetables. They were overcooked. Too soft.

“The Pit is serious, Chen said. “I read about it. People have died there.”

“I know.”

“And you’re not worried?”

I looked at him. “Should I be?”

‘I mean… yeah? It’s unregulated combat. No rules. No safety measures.”

“Sounds fair.”

Riley leaned forward. “Aria, this isn’t like the other tests. This is actual fighting. Hand-to-hand. No weapons. No backup.”

“I understand.”

“Do you though?” Her voice was urgent. “Because Saffron wasn’t lying about one thing. She is good at hand-to-hand combat. I’ve seen her

training. She’s fast. Strong. Ruthless.”

I took a drink of water. “Okay.”

“That’s it? Just okay?”

“What do you want me to say?”

Riley sat back. Frustrated. “I want you to take this seriously.”

“I am taking it seriously.”

“Then why do you seem so calm about it?

Because I’d fought in the Pit before. In my previous life. Multiple times.

Because the sand of the Pit was where I’d learned what it meant to truly fight. Not tactical scenarios. Not training exercises. Real combat where

one mistake meant death.

But I couldn’t say any of that.

So I just said, “111 be fine.”

Chen pushed his glasses up. “At least tell us you have a strategy.”

Don’t get hit. Hit them instead.”

Riley made an exasperated sound. “That’s not a strategy.”

“It’s worked so far

We finished eating in relative silence. The dining facility was getting more crowded. More candidates coming in for late dinner.

I saw Saffron’s group enter. Saffron was still limping. Leaning on Vanessa for support.

They found a table on the opposite side of the room. Far from us.
