That way, she could still live like the rich and famous.

Originally, the Vossen family had already pulled some strings to get her in, but with the Vossen Group on the brink of bankruptcy, they couldn’t pull any more strings for her. Now, she had to fight her way in herself.

Honestly, this was all on Ophelia. If it weren’t for her, the Vossen family wouldn’t have ended up like this, and she wouldn’t be having to jump through hoops just to get into school.

As Layla stared at Ophelia, sitting up front with that cold, aloof look, hatred started to flicker in her eyes.

‘Why do I have to suffer for so many years? I finally made it back to the Vossen family, and now I still have to go through all this?’ Layla thought, bitterness and resentment boiling inside her.

“You!” Layla sputtered, her face going pale then red, refusing to back down. “My work is just fine.”

Ophelia blinked, feigning curiosity. “Then why’d you get eliminated?”

Layla froze at the question. ‘How would I know? I’m not the judge, she thought, frustrated.

Meeting Ophelia’s indifferent gaze, Layla reminded herself she couldn’t lose her cool. This competition was everything, she couldn’t afford to crack now. She just had to grit her teeth and hold it together..
