Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 175

175 Chapter 175

175.Chapter 175

Ophelia let out a sigh, frustration clear in her voice. “Alaric, can’t we just do our own thing?”

But as soon as the words left her mouth, her vision went black and she staggered.

“What’s wrong?” Alaric instinctively caught her, concern flooding his voice.

Ophelia looked weak, her face went even paler, and her voice was barely above a whisper. “I think my blood sugar’s low.”

She felt waves of dizziness, like she could keel over any second.

Alaric picked her up without hesitation and headed straight for the car. “I’m taking you to the hospital.”

“No, I just need to eat something,” Ophelia said softly, her voice low.

She was just drained. Some food and she’d bounce right back.

Before she could finish, Alaric had already put her in the car.

Seeing her leaning back with her eyes closed, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of concern. He’d never seen her look so vulnerable before.

No matter if she was cold, angry, or fierce, Ophelia always radiated that bold confidence. But seeing her so weak now, it weighed on Alaric in ways he couldn’t explain.

Alaric’s eyes grew serious as he started the car and drove off in a hurry.

After resting for a bit, Ophelia still didn’t have her strength back, but at least her head wasn’t spinning as much anymore.

She slowly opened her eyes and turned her head to look at Alaric behind the wheel.

His lips were pressed into a thin line, knuckles white on the steering wheel, trying to keep it together despite the worry etched on his face.

Alaric kept stealing glances at Ophelia, making sure she was okay.

He turned just in time to see Ophelia wake up, his voice gentle and full of concern! “How are you feeling?”

“I don’t feel as dizzy anymore,” Ophelia said softly as she bit her lip lightly. “Thanks for helping me just now.”

If Alaric hadn’t been here, she might’ve passed out right at their doorstep. Now that would’ve been awkward.

“No need to thank me. I’m just glad you’re okay,” Alaric said, surprisingly serious for once. He didn’t crack any jokes or tease

her.

Ophelia gave a small smile. “Honestly, you’re not bad when you’re actually serious.”

He really looked like the real deal, just like a CEO should.

Alaric gave her a helpless laugh. “Come on, when have I ever not been serious?”

Ophelia shot him a dramatic eye roll, as if to say, ‘Let my eyes do the talking you figure it out.’

“Looks like you’re definitely on the mend,” Alaric chuckled. ‘She’s already showing her claws again; he thought.

Soon, Alaric pulled up outside a porridge shop.

“Let’s have some hot porridge here and take it easy for a bit. We can grab dinner later,” Alaric said gently. He got out, opened Ophelia’s door, and helped her out.

Ophelia stepped out slowly, but steady enough that she knew she wouldn’t stumble. “I can manage,” she said, reassuring him.

Alaric walked with her into the shop and ordered her some sweet porridge.

Seeing how careful he was with her, Ophelia’s eyes softened for a moment. ‘Guess he’s more attentive than I thought,’ she mused.

In the end, Ophelia went with Alaric to the Imperial Hotel.

There were only two presidential suites on the top floor, and Alaric had booked both-one for each of them.

After having some porridge, Ophelia felt her energy and strength coming back, and her complexion looked a lot better.

When Ryan saw Ophelia, he looked like he’d just stumbled onto some juicy drama.
