Ophelia Gets Thrown Out (Ophelia) novel Chapter 49

**Paths Lead To Purpose — Kevin Masters**
**Chapter 49**

“Ophelia, you really shouldn’t feel weighed down by this,” Victoria said softly, her gaze warm and filled with affection. “As long as you find joy in what you do, you have the freedom to pursue anything your heart desires.”

Despite Zoe’s innocent intentions, a shadow of concern lingered in Victoria’s mind. She feared that Ophelia might take her words too seriously and feel pressured.

“I understand, Mom,” Ophelia replied, her lips curving into a gentle smile that lit up her face.

Noticing the ease with which Ophelia responded, Victoria felt a wave of relief wash over her.

“Come on, let’s head inside,” she suggested, her voice brightening the atmosphere.

“Alright,” Ophelia nodded, falling into step with the others as they made their way toward the villa, the familiar structure looming ahead like a welcoming embrace.

As they walked, Victoria clasped Ophelia’s hand, the warmth of their connection radiating between them. “Ophelia, you won’t believe what I saw when I went jewelry shopping today. There was this stunning diamond necklace that I just know would look fabulous on you. You really should try it on later.”

Ophelia raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eye. “So, you already went ahead and bought it, huh?”

Jewelry was not something she often adorned herself with; she never felt the need for it.

“Absolutely!” Victoria exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “I just had this instinct that it would be breathtaking on you.”

Seeing the hopeful anticipation on her mother’s face, Ophelia felt a soft warmth in her heart. “Thank you, Mom,” she said, her voice laced with genuine gratitude.

Even though she rarely wore such adornments, the sentiment behind the gesture meant the world to her.

Upon entering the villa, they settled into the inviting living room, the cozy atmosphere wrapping around them like a familiar blanket.

Before long, the driver appeared, carrying several shopping bags which he carefully placed on the coffee table, the sound of rustling paper filling the air.

Victoria’s eyes sparkled with curiosity as she glanced at the bags, then reached for one, her fingers deftly opening it to reveal a small, elegantly packaged box.

“Here, Ophelia. Open this and see what I got for you,” Victoria urged, her excitement palpable as she leaned forward in anticipation of her daughter’s reaction. Ophelia’s gaze fell on the logo adorning the box, and a flicker of recognition sparked within her—a distinctive letter C, unmistakably Caterina.

“So, you decided to visit Caterina,” she remarked casually, her heart racing as she opened the box. Just as she had anticipated, nestled inside was Starlune Tales, a piece she had personally designed.

“Yes!” Victoria beamed, her voice filled with joy. “It’s one of Caterina’s newest releases this month. I thought it would be a perfect match for you, so I couldn’t resist buying it.” She gestured invitingly. “Go on, try it on!”

Victoria chuckled softly, shaking her head in affectionate disbelief. “You really don’t need to be so stingy.”

A daughter of the Rowle family deserved nothing but the best, and she would ensure that Ophelia knew it.

Ophelia chose not to delve deeper into the conversation; instead, she nodded with a warm smile, feeling a sense of comfort in her mother’s unwavering support.

“Ophelia, if there’s ever anything you desire, just let me know,” Dylan chimed in, his tone earnest and sincere. “I’ll make sure to get it for you.”

Ophelia couldn’t help but smile at his kindness. “Alright, thank you, Dylan.”

While she didn’t really need anything at the moment, the thoughtfulness behind his offer warmed her heart.

Seeing her acceptance of his gesture, Dylan’s face lit up with satisfaction, a grin spreading across his features.

“When I grow up, I’ll buy you something really nice, too,” Owen declared, puffing out his chest with pride, as if he feared being overshadowed.

Dylan couldn’t resist teasing him. “You could buy her something right now! What about all that pocket money you’ve been saving up?”
