Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 105

Frederick was completely stunned.

Had Julius actually just called him?

And hung up before he could even get a word in?

What did he just say?

He said to go beg Stella!

That meant Julius knew exactly why they were at his headquarters today.

Was Julius the one pulling the strings behind the scenes, financially ruining him?

Miranda shoved him. "What are you spacing out for? Say something! What did he say?"

Snapping out of it, Frederick muttered, "He said the person we've wronged is Stella, and that we need to go to her. He refuses to see us."

"Frederick, do you think Stella is still holding a grudge about us putting her mother's ashes in the doghouse? Is she having Julius ruin us to get revenge?"

Frederick thought it over, his face darkening. "It's possible. That girl is obsessed with getting those ashes back. When she found out where we put them, she probably threw a fit and whispered in his ear. No wonder all my bank loans were suddenly denied. It has to be him. In this entire city, who else has the power to cut my funding overnight?

I should have known! That ungrateful little brat. Her own father is drowning, and this is how she repays me."

Miranda scowled. "So what do we do now? Are we really supposed to go beg her?"

Hearing this, Chloe threw a fit. "I'm not doing it! You go if you want, but I am not begging that bitch! Do you know what she did to me?"

Having no better options, Frederick sighed heavily. "Fine. Let's go home."

Once back at the house, the three of them took turns blowing up Stella's phone.

Stella saw the calls. She heard the buzzing. She just completely ignored them, eventually flipping her phone to silent.

They called endlessly. No answer.

They tried adding her on social media. Ignored.

With Stella refusing to pick up, Frederick was stuck. Just then, his secretary called, telling him he was urgently needed back at the office.
