"Catch you later," Jason said before heading over to Vernon.
Vernon returned to Jason's side, complaining bitterly. "Jason, you really screwed me over this time. That woman is a violent psycho. Look at my eye!"
Vernon's left eye was already sporting a dark purple ring. Just looking at it made Jason wince.
"Wow, even the legendary ladies' man couldn't win her over. I guess I can't blame you, Vernon. That helmet girl is just too violent. But did you at least get her name or number?"
"I got absolutely nothing! I asked her what her name was, and do you know what she said?"
Just talking about it infuriated Vernon. He had lowered his status to hit on her, and she had the nerve to be so ungrateful. Not only did she refuse to give him her name, but she also decked him!
Jason was dying of curiosity. "What did she say?"
"She said, 'My name is—Your—Daddy'!" Vernon punched the door of his car and cursed, "Damn it!"
His fury was palpable.
His eye was still throbbing. If he ever ran into her again, he was going to make her pay!
"Pfft... cough, cough, cough... She really said that?" Jason, who had been taking a swig of water, nearly choked to death hearing Vernon's answer.
"That's exactly what she said. Damn her! And then she left me choking on her exhaust fumes!"
He was so mad he could explode!
"Vernon, don't be mad. Getting beat by her isn't an injustice."
"Why the hell would you say that? I feel completely humiliated."
