"Are you sure? Let me check."
Stella trusted her sense of smell explicitly. It was definitely blood. Even though Julius had showered and the scent was incredibly faint, she knew what she smelled.
Without waiting for permission, she reached out, parting his sleep shirt to 'inspect' his chest.
Honestly, she had been wanting to do this for a while. The sight of his perfectly sculpted chest, always visible but just out of reach, had been driving her crazy.
Once Stella's hands made contact, she couldn't stop. The texture, the warmth, the sheer physical perfection of him—it was intoxicating!
Julius watched her hands roam over him and made absolutely no move to stop her. This was playing right into his hands.
But after a few moments, his own desires flared to life. His voice dropped to a husky whisper. "Do you like what you feel?"
Lost in a slight daze, Stella instinctively replied, "Yes."
"The abs are pretty great too. You should try them."
"Wow, an actual eight-pack. Very impressive!" Stella was completely in fan-girl mode now, unable to stop tracing the lines of his stomach.
Julius's gaze darkened significantly. "Yeah, I agree. But since you've had your fun copping a feel, it's my turn."
With that, he flipped the script, seizing the initiative and letting his hands roam over her as well.
She was his wife. Sharing a bed every night without even getting a taste was practically a crime against himself.
Snapped back to reality, Stella swatted his hand away. "What are you doing!"
"Honey, I'm just exercising my rights as your husband." He punctuated the sentence with a soft kiss on her lips.
Stella pushed against his chest. "You can't do this! When we signed the agreement, you explicitly stated you couldn't perform and wouldn't touch me! You can't just go back on your word!"
Julius's hands didn't stop. "Obviously, I wouldn't touch you if I couldn't perform. But my legs are healed, and I'm fully functional now, so I'm absolutely going back on my word."
Stella crossed her arms over her chest, as if that flimsy barrier could protect her. "You can't!"
Julius leaned in closer. "I can."
She scooted backward toward the edge of the bed. "No, you can't!"
