Chloe lunged forward and snatched the bottle out of her hand. "Don't touch my things!"

Stella wiped her hands in disgust. "Keep your morbid little trinket. Just tell me where you got it."

She wasn't exaggerating—the thing literally had dead people in it.

Chloe clutched the bottle tightly to her chest. "Morbid? You really are just an uncultured idiot. This is a top-tier, elite luxury fragrance. Don't think just because you married Julius Blackwood you can buy whatever you want. This is priceless."

"Then who sold it to you? Just give me a name. Don't worry about whether I can afford it or not."

Chloe lifted her chin arrogantly. "See? I knew you were jealous of it. You were just pretending to be disgusted. I'll have you know, even if I told you, you couldn't get it. You're just a country nobody; what do you know about high-end perfumery?"

"Are you going to answer the question, or do I need to pry it out of your hands?" Stella took a menacing step forward, raising her hand.

Chloe practically threw herself backward, hiding the bottle behind her back. "Are you a psycho? Why do you always try to steal my stuff?"
