Queen of Wild Cards novel Chapter 306

Sean dragged her out of the room.

What an absolute idiot. Couldn't she see the boss was furious and had told her to get out?

Once the irrelevant personnel were gone, Julius wrapped his arms around his wife to comfort her. "Stella, I'm so sorry. You were wronged in my own office. This is my fault."

What an absolute disaster. He had been gone for barely half an hour, and someone had already harassed his wife—in his own territory!

"Stella, even though I know you can protect yourself and won't be bullied easily, I can't stand seeing anyone disrespect you even a little. Please, let me announce your identity to the public."

It was precisely because Stella refused to let him go public that blind fools kept offending her.

"Are you really going to deny me a title? Do you want me to be your secret husband forever? Am I really that shameful to be seen with?"

Seeing his remorse, frustration, and slight pout, Stella quickly reassured him. "Alright, I'm perfectly fine, aren't I? I'm not mad. Besides, I'm hungry. What are we having for lunch?"

She wasn't the one who got dragged out and fired; she truly wasn't upset.

That woman should be thanking her lucky stars Julius walked in when he did, or things would have ended much worse for her.

And honestly, only a truly outstanding man attracted such jealousy, right?

It just proved her man was highly desirable. She wasn't angry in the slightest.

Julius felt a surge of secret delight. Stella hadn't explicitly agreed, but she hadn't objected either. That meant he could subtly start letting people know she was his wife. It felt like her acceptance of him was growing by the day.

One day, he would make her fall completely in love with him.

"I'm taking you out. Everything is already arranged. The food will be served the moment we arrive, and it's not far from the office. Just a ten-minute drive."

"Sounds good. Let's go."

As they left the executive office, he proudly wrapped an arm around Stella's waist, keeping her intimately close.

A particularly bold employee couldn't help but ask, "Boss, is this beautiful lady your girlfriend?"

Let's see who dared to covet him after this!

They arrived at the restaurant, and true to Julius's word, the food was brought out immediately.

While they were eating, Julius received a call from Ian Eames.

"Julius, my sister is practically holding me hostage, forcing me to call you. She said the person who saved her the other day is your woman, and she wants her number to treat her to dinner as a thank you."

"Hold on a second. Let me ask her."

"Julius, you actually have a woman? Who is she? Why haven't you introduced her to us? That's not very brotherly of you." He hadn't believed his sister at first, but it turned out to be true.

Julius was keeping this incredibly tightly under wraps. What was he worried about?

Julius chuckled softly. "How am I keeping it a secret? You've all met her. Remember the girl who drank with us at the bar?"

Since Stella didn't object to him giving himself a proper title, he was going to make sure everyone in his circle knew she was his wife.
